It's true, a lot of people try to come up with the 'Lewis was gassed by the end of the 6th' There is clear evidence to the contrary. Vitali was cut up and gassed and holding on for grim death. This content is protected I think he takes 5 or so punches in a row here without trying to reply.
I always thought by the 9th Lewis would of got him out of there. Lewis was tired as well but Lewis had already taken Vitali's best shots and by the end of the fight he was nailing Vitali with right hands and uppercuts. Klit fans will argue that Vlit was ahead on the cards at the time the fight was stopped but they refuse to look at who was the stronger the fighter when the fight ended. There is no doubt that Lewis was getting the better of the fight by the end of the 6th.

It was still a close fight, noone can argue that! And please don't tell us you know 100% how the fight would have gone on without the stoppage, Vitali might have recovered quicker than Lennox between the rounds (for the idiots: I don't mean the cuts ). Lennox won the fight fair and square though due to the cuts, but to think that he was comfortably winning is absolutely delusional.

Vitali was out on his feet and would of been KO-d hard in round 7. It's a shame Vitali got cut so bad as it robbed us of the opportunity to see Vitali take a nap for the first time in his boxing career. But as it stands LEWIS TKO6 VITALI.
