Slip, This is a beast. Madness. On BBC London tonight...Stracey, Buglioni, Conquest, Poole on Pacman and about a dozen others. Details to follow. Adios.
Quite! This is the sort of issue on which the various sides will never agree, but you would think Bunce had personally offended people or something! He reaches out to the fan community, he is happy to commit to his own opinion, he throws in a lot of anecdotal insight from people he has spoken to, he laughs off some pretty heavy criticism, he obviously loves the same sport we all love, I think fans of most sports would be delighted to have their own Bunce. So I know we aren't all going to agree on everything - many threads on here demonstrate that - but I am astonished that there is such a negative reaction on here to a guy who is trying to be good for the sport and the fans! Expect I'll get shouted at, now, but tbh I think that this thread is more embarrassing for all of us on here than anything Bunce ever did.
Bunce what could you eat faster? A 12' pizza or a donner kebab? Also in your time in boxing who is the most; a) craziest person you have met? Im not talking tough guy intimidation, im talking where something happened when you thought to yourself 'this guy is bat**** crazy' b) the most intense / intimidating / sulky character you have ever met? I know people will scream Tyson but are there more unusual ones? I remember hearing that some writers were worried Michael Moorer would assault them:nono
If you're going to ask questions like that you should at least be willing to provide a free stopwatch and pizza/kebab. We want the facts here, not lazy guesswork on such an important issue.
Kebab, no question. Tony Ayala Jr. I went to his release party and first fight. Moored was difficult. Tyson tricky. Judah in his pomp with his entourage were not pleasant. Toney and Jones could sulk for Earth at various points in their careers. Adios.
Go for the kebab meat pizza and kill two birds with one stone I'd have thought Vinny Paz would be at or near the top of the list, by all accounts he was a bit of a nutcase. Moorer and Judah = both arseholes, especially Zab. Moorer does seem to be slightly unhinged with it though.
I know Moorer was fired by Roach from the Wild Card because of 'personality conflicts' but I read that he also threatened visitors if they dared put their elbows or hands on the reception counter.
Buncey, KO1 Charlie Zelenoff > Tyson, moorer, ayala, judah, toney Thoughts on his win over Floyd Mayweather Sr? Also..... Kebab? Interesting Is the Hopkins 'altercation' the most serioulsy in danger from a top fighter you have ever been or is there another story? Wow us big man, wow with a capital w
lol i heard something about a philipino politician entering a room after a pacquiao win, a big shot, and Moorer for no reason, manhandled this old man outa the room in front of everyone:nut
Yeah, in the Pac 24/7 he was charging a dollar for leaning on the counter, swearing and something else that I can't remember. I loved his tactical input too - he can't see right hooks coming, don't let him hit you to the body. He'd clearly watched Hatton vs Magee and Collazo that very morning. He was a nut even when he was boxing, heaven knows how twisted he is these days.
Moorer wasn’t a very patient man. But he was a good addition to Roach’s crew. Lots of technical knowledge, good eyes for mistakes, and could pick up the slack when Freddie was teaching lots of guys. But if you’re pissing everyone off…
Moorer admitted brooding inside a dark closet in his basement to try and cope with his anger. Which for some reason brings to mind James Toney going after Jackie Kallen with a gun following the Jones defeat!
What has being on the cover of Ring.......or what "they" said have to do with anything?:? "Don't believe the hype" never rung truer. I was never THAT impressed by Fraudley from his Middleton debut onwards...... I never switched my opinion........I just used my eyes......and was never swayed by what any media said about Fraudley. I recall that you on the BBC after a Fraudley fight ,enthusing how Fraudley was "Head of the chasing pack" .......behind the current world champions.......again provoking a hail of laughter from my friend and I. Adios.
