I would not say it was a beat down but rather a boxing lesson. I think in a fair fight PBF beats Oscar at his peak.
The Mosley is a good comparison maybe you just didn't read well into it. After Floyd was knocked senseless in round 2 in their fight Floyd still managed to move forward despite Mosley landing flush on him. The old strategy to beat Pacquiao was to back him up by out-boxing him without backing off too much yourself. This is what Morales executed successfully in their first encounter. The Mosley fight showed that Floyd has enough grit to tough it out even if he gets unsteadied. In the Mosley and Marquez fights, Much of Pac's offense was neutralized with lateral movement and speed. Floyd can do all of this which is why it would be a schooling if they met in May.
atsch What you don't understand is that Floyd backs up his opponents by countering them. Margarito backs his opponents up by taking eating shots with his face and coming forward. BIG difference. Oscar had little to no dimension in his offense and neither did Hatton for what little we saw.
Pacquiao would have more success if Mayweather walks him down. I understand everything about Floyd there's nothing I don't understand about him. Winky Wright fought a similar way despite being a southpaw. If you think Mayweather will have success staying in front of Pacquiao and walking him down so be it, it will be up to Floyd being able to shoulder roll, block and duck all Pacquiao's punches while countering in return without getting hit. This fight is still intriguing and will not be a blowout. Marquez did not walk Pacquiao down and fights nothing like Mayweather imo.
Biggest problem with Pac is that hedoesnt know how to deal with good movement, and has **** footwork, Floyd is bigger big reach difference has great straight right hand and will kill Pac with it, 12 cm reach advantage Pac wont be able to overcome that, plus Floyd is much faster than JMM and hit so much harder at this weight so Pac will not be able to eat his punches like he did against Marquez in 3rd fight!!!
Don't think so. Prime Oscar don't stop jabbing. And no, Floyd's right hand's wouldn't keep him off just like Mosley's right hands bounced right off Oscar. This content is protected
> I thought I showed your dumbass before that Oscar threw like 70 jabs during the last 4 rounds of the fight? He landed like 6. :rofl
So 6 punches did this? If that's the case, Floyd better stay FAR away from Martinez and that other fighter fighter who "doesn't have to connect clean" to put bruises on him This content is protected
And Oscar did this with just jabs in the first half of the fight. Imagine what a younger Oscar would've done. This content is protected
