Has Mayweather successfully waited out Pacquiao's peak, like SRL did with Hagler?

    Yet more hilarity.

Except again, people who understand boxing understand the difference.

People are saying Pacquiao can't be more declined than Mayweather because Mayweather is older.

Yet those of us who know boxing know all fighters decline at their own rates, while fighters who rely on the physical tend to fade faster.

It's not surprising that a fighter who relies on explosiveness and relentlessness (like Pacquiao) would fade earlier than a fighter who relies on technique and craft (like Hopkins).

None of this is particularly difficult to understand tbh.

exactly, I hate when people say this.

"Leonard waited for him to slow down"

Well ****, Leonard was out for how many years, and fighting 3 weightclasses above where he started

I'm not convinced Pacquiao is significantly faded. He could come out and look stupendous in his next fight, just as JMM has done. Nothing in Boxing appears to be an exact science.

    Agreed.

They have both declined, but I think due to the difference in styles and activity, Pac has declined more so than May.

May's fighting style coupled with his inactivity - he may be able to pull off a Hopkins.

No problem. My identity and self worth doesn't revolve around a boxer and my rep on esb like you know who.

    Have a good night, sweetie

Isn't it all a bit to conveniant that the first time Pacquiao faces someone who doesn't want to stand stationary and trade since the 2nd Marquez fight he's all of a sudden not prime? It wasn't a big deal when it was Mosley since he wasn't throwing anything back but when Marquez started landing the crsip counters all of a sudden Pacquiao's prime was over. But was it over in the 2nd fight with Marquez aswell? what about the first Marquez fight?

Throw in current Pacquiao with Maidana@144lbs and Pac would brutally KO him. He's still a monster but just needs the right style to matchup with.

    Agreed.

JMM would most likely get hit more if he was to fight a Brandon Rios down at Lightweight. Styles me fights.
