lol that's a stupid ass analogy how the **** you are going to bring religion into this... religion is based on faith not facts so it cant be proved you either believe or you dont... boxing is different is a sport that at the end of the day you can measure the results..

and about winning without running of course is possible there are too many variables..

i won fights where i didnt train as good and felt tired during the fight but my ability god my through

but is impossible to train a kid or anybody of the streets who have never trained in boxing and make them competitive without running,,, once you are elite or a professional champion top of the food change then you can get away with not running as much because you already are in top form and just need to maintain but to no do it at all completely will get you into trouble

    :hat

More qualified than who? It doesn't take any qualifications at all to say running is not a requirement to box.

Like I've said before, the things I say are very basic. With your "education" you should understand what I'm telling you.

Wow. You're too thick to understand what I was saying... The point was about the numbers, not religion and boxing. Dumbass.

BTW, you haven't given a single fact about running being a requirment. Saying "Boxers run" or "champions run" may be facts, but it doesn't mean they win because they run.

So you don't need to run to box.

Oh, wait, now you disagree in the very same post. Impossible to be good without running?

Maybe its just you and your coaches that suck if that's what you've been told. Explain to me how you would train a new guy that can't run because of bad knees? Or would you just tell him to leave because he can't run so he'll never be able to box?

If his knees are so bad he can't run then boxing's gonna be problematic...

Right you can shoot me down, dont care. Im by far the fittest and better all round athlete in my boxing class ( not the best boxer lol ) but it is clear my fitness is higher than the others in the gym. I take my training very seriously.

This isnt too boast ect but my point is I dont run long distance! Everyone else that i know there does run! Is it just a freak exception. i think not as im not a natural athlete at all iv had to work bloody hard for it and learnt the hard way what works and what doesnt

Your knees don't have to be that bad to prevent you running.

It's not about the specific injury that prevents somebody running, I want to know what puertorricane would do for somebody who wants to box but can't run. It seems he thinks running = boxing ability. Somebody earlier in this thread said he couldn't run because of his knees so he just boxed for a few months and his fitness levels never dropped. Are you saying he's not good enough to ever compete?

Are you really suggesting that if someone can't run they'll be ok boxing?

He could be a great boxer but not being able to run will compromise his training.

    Bull****.

Wlad and JMM swim instead of running.

It affects their training how exactly?

You misunderstood my point bro. I wasn't suggesting you have to run to box.

Running's just cardio (although the benefits of running to a boxer go beyond that).

What I'm saying is that if you can't run you'll struggle with all sorts of other things that are part of boxing.

Wlad/JMM could run if they wanted to..

Im suprised there was nothing mentioned about this video, i would have thought it would have caught the attention of a few people on these forums, its turned the head of a few top physio's in england, its repeatedley re-directing neural pathways in the brain to help people with cerebral paulsy and MS, who knows what else. quite a piece of equipment, i have a feeling in the future there will be a machine like this in every physio room.

Ive had the privelege of training on a prototype myself over the space of 6 months and i can say the effects are suprising, as for body maintenance its second to none, i never realised how important body maintenance was for optimal performance until i stopped using this machine.

Johnboy, my Id no secret :D, theres 6 different machines will be coming out. thought I would put something back into Sport. This is the 1st, weve given them a 10 year Test for detail. Even got endorsed by God ,as I call Him, His 1st time doing such a thing. This thing will get people Fitter, than ever before, By changing the laws of Gravity.
