Read this comment on YT beneath this vid:

lamont has better hooks than amir khan and better timing and power with a better chin. amir khan just has the very fast snappy jab that he uses very well. Im going with lamont peterson his a nice guy and a good boxer even though amir khans my brother to my eyes lamont seem like the overall boxer. but khan pressure style may get to lamont in ther early stages but if lamont can get passes the first 5 rounds i think khans in trouble.

    ___

I like open minded people like the above person. Good to see evry1 is giving Lamont a chance.

I'm liking lamont more and more in this fight.

Khan better not take his eye of this one and take it real seriously. He could get hurt particularly on the inside, which is strange considering Peterson has the slightly longer reach.

Lamont doesn't throw enough punches. Khan will just outwork him.

Peterson described the fight in prospect as "for sure the biggest and (most) exciting fight of my career so far", later adding "on 10 December, I will make my dreams come true and ruin Amir's plans to reign over his division".

I've been watching a bit of footage on Peterson, and he seems like a pretty good fighter. Much looser and more fluid than Khan in regard to head movement and his upper body. He also seems more comfortable in the pocket, and I like the fact that he throws to the body rather than just being a head-hunter. It's also unusual to see a tall/lanky guy like that getting low and dipping under punches...normally tall guys try to keep their distance with an upright sort of style, something you can see in Wlad and Khan. Peterson seems to prefer mixing styles, sometimes staying on the outside and flicking a jab, and sometimes coming up close for an in-fight.

I saw an interview where he said that his favourite fighter (and an influence on his own style) is Marquez, because of the way he can be technical but also fight it out if need be. Peterson seems to be going for a similar mix.

That being said, I can't see any exceptional area to Peterson's game in the small amount of footage that I saw -- he looks like a good, solid boxer, but not special, whereas Khan's handspeed is immediately obvious when you watch him fight. Khan's jab also looks better. Peterson looks good, though, and he definitely has a chance to pull off the win, especially if he keeps going to the body and exploiting Khan's vulnerabilities in the pocket.

Victor Ortiz beat Lamont without throwing a jab. Khan will win via UD! Easy work..

The fight between Peterson and Ortiz was a draw and that was only because Peterson got dropped twice early in a fight that was ten rounds and fell way behind. He fought well after that and ended up winning more rounds than Ortiz did. It wouldn't be smart to sleep on Peterson in this fight, because he may be the best fighter that Khan has faced so far.

i remember watching the peterson bros on FNF's on ESPN with their loud bop bop style

i thought they'd become really good especially Anthony but they didn't live up to the expectations.

i still think they're good guys though.

Lamont said in one of the interviews I posted that Amir has a amateurish style; Lamont was a amateur boxing star and champ so in that respect Lamont could pick up the win?

Both the petersons are well schooled boxers. Lamont CAN win but he's not physically anything special and i dont see him having the fighters mindset that guys like Khan, Rios, Guerrero etc have.

Khan will be too much for Lamont. Peterson early promise hasn't translated to the higher level. He's a solid guy, but really lacks any form of athleticism to beat fast, strong guys like Khan, Bradley, Ortiz etc.

I do think Khan will get the best Peterson yet though, as he has more championship level experience and as he says, has learned from his mistakes in the Bradley and Ortiz fights. Where he traded too much early on.
