There's 3 commissioners and the female Melvina Lathan is trying to prove to Arum she has a bigger Willie. Obviously she has an ax to grind...calling the surgeon a liar in the hearing!!! Hopefully the Mayor comes down on her in a rude way!!!
Dude has to be approved for a boxing license first! NY and NJ work very closely together on a lot of things. NJ ...more than likely, will not license him if NY turned him down. People are throwing out all these different venues and states that can host the fight...that doesn't matter if they aren't going to license him!
If everyone writes an email, it could actually do some good. Here's what I wrote: Hello, I am writing as a concerned costumer who recently purchased tickets to the Miguel Cotto VS Antonio Margarito boxing event planned to be held at Madison Square Garden on December 3rd. From what I understand, there is a series of administrative obstacles which may prevent this fight from going through which are related to the condition of Antonio Margarito's health. While I agree with putting the bodily health of an individual athlete above all else, I urge you to consider the numerous fans and aficionados who have gone through great monetary lengths to be able to see this fight. This event, as a sporting event as well as a chapter in the story of individuals that resonate across different cultures and people, is very important to me and countless others who have purchased their ticket with the honest intention of being able to attend the main event as advertised. If the true reasons for this event being cancelled and wasting the unrecoverable costs of traveling costumers come down to the grave risk to a competitor's health, then so be it; but all other irrelevant obstacles must be avoided, for the sake of the costumer and their faith in the integrity of New York area athletic events. If this event is at all possible to maintain as it is with our respect for humanity intact, I do hope those that make such decisions are able to put their best efforts forth in doing so. If there is any other contact better suited for such expressions, please let me know. Thank you for your time, Bogotazo (not really tho.)
Thats pretty good Bogo. I have a feeling this is all just a stunt and MSG will be completely sold out within minutes after the official ruling.
If there's a genuine injury of that nature then obviously the fight shouldn't go ahead - that's unarguable. Allowing it only serves to further degrade boxing's status as a sport if a known condition results in something nasty happens. If it's borderline, you can make the argument that it should go ahead, albeit with the referee briefed to jump in early at the first sign of trouble.
So let New York lose such a big fight, tell New York to go to...................... I am tired of New York beating up unarmed protesters, spraying pepper spray into the eyes of peaceful protesters, lying, kissing the rich billionaires' arses, telling the middle class/poor to go to Hell! Go somewhere else, I am sure there are plenty of states they would love to have that fight. It's New York's loss, not ours! Makes my very angry!
I was going to buy a plane ticket to NYC to see the fight with friends, but decided against it a month ago, so: This content is protected I saved my money.
