Don't blame you, I cannot believe it's got to this close to fight now all this has started.

Why would you recommend an operation if you think it clearly hasn't worked?

    Pawel Wolak keeps mentioning Mississippi!!!

Damn! How on earth has Arum made so much money with his business sense is beyond me

I mean, doing a massive PR campaign before the venue has been confirmed is ridiculous! Why leave it so late

It seems Arum thought the NYSAC would be a formality, especially since he’d bought so many experts to testify on Margo’s behalf. So it might be a combination of factors: Margo’s eyes, Arum’s arrogance, and Margo’s previous sins all catching up.

If Arums direct quotes are accurate, then someone turning in the middle of a meeting and accusing 2 doctors of lying is incredible not to mention unprofessional. Isnt this the same commission who wont allow MMA? Youd have thought Arum would think them the 2nd coming after that. Still Missisippi? Theres gonna be some people super pissed. Id seriously considered going to this too.

And for those of you who didnt know, Melvina Lathan, as the NYSAC, was also a judge who scored the Lewis Holyfield 1 as a draw.....

    Just sayin'

Arum’s not exactly known for his integrity. He even has a famous quote about it. NYSAC make money from sanctioning the fight. The state makes big revenue from boxing at MSG, so for them to be saying “no” is a pretty big indictment.

We’ll probably see the minutes of the meeting at some point. But frankly, boo hoo to Arum complaining about a lack of professionalism after the way’s he spoken about paying fans at his press conferences. He’s an arrogant scumbag.

i just got a feeling the fight will get stopped on a cut within a few rounds.

shame as every fight gets a boost when MSG is invovled.

to be honest DFT, his eye does look extremely bad. Personally I dont think he should be fighting, but who am I to say that. I'd love to see the fight again.

This is what has pissed me off today! It's like they have already made up their minds before the hearing. Why bother with proceedings if they are just going to say they are lying?

Isn’t the question: why did Arum wait so long before asking for the meeting? He was hoping the fact the fight was right around the corner would pressure the committee into approving it. Obviously that’s not worked out. His arrogance and game-playing has cheated a lot of fans out of seeing a good fight.

I’d have gone if I hadn’t been to the US in the summer. I’m glad I didn’t now!

Also Vano, I agree. Tony really shouldn’t be fighting with that legacy injury. There is no way you can have that sort of damage and need that sort of surgery without a long-term hangover from it. I don’t like the guy but I don’t want to see him getting blinded in the ring.

That was exactly my point in my first point. It was beyond idiotic of him to do a massive PR campaign without having the confirmation of the venue. It makes absolutely no business sense whatsoever. I'd half expect it from Gary Shaw, but not Arum.

While I dont really like Margo, I feel I side with him a little more than most of this forum. Whatever he had on his hands that night, he had nothing on his chin. The guy is a warrior, despite his scumbag move. During the face off he said he was willing to die in the ring, and i honestly believed him. He will not no when to quit, and i fear we will see him seriously hurt, especially with his eye.
