No they wern't, well maybe for the first half but the 2nd half Calzaghe began to land the better punches and throw more aswell.

Yeah. Calzaghe had more convincing case for a win. But I can see why krishv123 would make the comparison. Quantity prevailed over quality in both occasions.

Yeah both fights were robberies but the Marquez-Pac fight was wider in my opinion.

calzaghe landed about twice as many punches as hopkins, the two fights would be similar if marquez landed twice as many as pac and then the decision went to marquez

    Not really.

Marquez was way more active and still effective late in the fight. Hopkins was not.

Calzaghe won by 2 points on my card. Marquez won by 4 points on my card (3 points live, being generous to Pac with an even round).

I see the comparison, but the fights were in now ay similar. At all.

save the excuses the example is right.

Hopkins fighting off the back foot like Marquez, whilst Pacquiao and Calzaghe are forcing the fight.

Hopkins threw no punches and landed nothing in the last few rounds.

Marquez continued to throw and land, while making Pac miss.

You should stop with the excuses. Pac lost. It's the same as 1 + 1 equalling 2. It can't really be argued. I suppose if your a child you could say it equals a window, and most irrational Pac fans are, hence ESB.

I see the similarity but I think it is also similar to De La Hoya Mosley 2 that everyone complains De La Hoya should've won because he was busier yet the same people will credit Marquez for landing the sharper punches against the busier Pacquiao, something Mosley DID do against De La Hoya. So those who argue Marquez won should also accept that Mosley won that fight also.

I should stop with the excuses? I didn't have Pacquiao winning either, I had it a draw.

I don't think Calzaghe had a more convincing case for a win, Hopkins knocked him down. Marquez never came close to knocking Pac down.

I believe Calzaghe won and also that Pacquaio won.

    Decent enough. My apologies.

I used the "stop using excuses" line cause in your earlier post you said the same thing because the "example" the ts used was right.

The example the ts used was wrong. That's what I meant.

    But apologies nonetheless.
