    Resumes are all that matter?

Yeah, no ****. If I fought bums, yet claim to be able to KO the main man of a division, I am a joke

Earn you right to fight the best?

medal holder at 17. proven record. period

But Khan's resume was shite when he fought Kotelnik.

You just said his medal 'counts for nothing'. :nut

Achievement in the pro game. Working your way up, fighting at the weight, fighting ranked opponents. That sort of thing.

Different ball game. It's a benchmark to see how successful a fighter will be as a pro. barring Harrison

Counts for nothing in the pro game? yes

    Counts for nothing? no

Counts for everything if you bag one at 17? yes

You get the fights, you get the names. This is a business. Marketability, Hype etc, can only come about if a fighter is performing.

    Khan is.

Judging Kell as an opponent of Khan by stating Khan was at the same level or less as Kell when he fought Kotelnik is wrong.

Kell is behaving like an arrogant **** calling out Khan the way he is, the childish father and son team Hearn with their agenda against Khan, yes the weird obsession senior Hearn has with Khan, youtube vid where he wants to "destroy him"

Khan should not throw a bone to these guys after the Mcloskey debacle

You have an inferiority complex. I'd rather discuss the likes of Khan, Ortiz, Mayweather, Pac in the general than with some **** on here who talks about the pros and cons of a World class fighter like Khan fighting a no mark like Kell ****ing Brook. Hilarious

  9. Amateur success only influences how much a lad will get paid when he turns pro.

It bears absolutely no relevance as to how good a fighter they'll be in the pro ranks.

    Absolutely none.

I might tell Eddie Hearn that Lazarus is actively campaigning against this fight...

I don't think this fight is anywhere near happening. Maybe once Brook has stepped up the level of competition for 3 or 4 fights, it could happen at that point.

Well, Khan has beaten a good list of opponents. If he moves up to 147 and beats a Berto or an Ortiz I think he’d be a legitimate contender at the weight. He’s a unified titlist at 140. All bar two of his fights at 140 have been against top ten opposition and one was a mandatory. The other McCloskey is nothing special but redeemed himself against Prescott. Actually, Khan is more deserving than Ortiz was, IMO. He’s certainly not hype.

Maybe Khan didn’t earn his shot at 140, but he proved he deserved it by winning every round against a solid operator in Kotelnik. Brook hasn’t beaten anyone of even Kotelnik’s quality. He needs to get himself a signature win that will mark him as a threat. Hearn should be going out of his way to get someone with a little US recognition at 147.

Hell, maybe even try and get Randall Bailey since he’s at 147 now! I’m sure one of the US networks like Showtime would be interested in that. Plus it would put Kell in against a legitimate puncher.
