Floyd at 130 was offensively brilliant. Gamboa gets hit too much so FMJ knocks him out.

I pick Gamboa for other reasons. Gamboa was a much better amateur, hits harder, is actually faster ( and who can say that against Mayweather ) and has fought better opposition ( inside his 21 bouts ).

I don't get intimidated by names, fame nor by what people say. Mayweather has never fought a Cuban star, he ran from Casamayor ( who was lesser than Gamboa ) and Casamayor would have given him fits. ;)

Arguable Mayweather should have picked up the Olympic Gold medal and he was only what, 19?

He isn't faster than Mayweather was at 130 either, plus Mayweather's punches are much straighter so they get there first. Gamboa is defensively very open, Mayweather is very hard to hit, so Mayweather is landing allot more leather. Mayweather also has a big reach and height advantage.

Mayweather's 130lb opposition easily outshines Gamboa's career thus far. That's pretty much beyond debate

130 Floyd is faster than 126 Gamboa...More technically sound and more accurate. Gamboa gets stopped late.

Very interesting fight. First we still haven't seen Gamboa at 130 to really compare them but he definitely can beat Floyd in terms of natural raw athleticism, speed and ring IQ. This fight most likely would have been a very tactical affair with the most skilled and most intelligent boxer winning. I go Gamboa TKO

Floyd was dumb good at 130. An actually was a huge puncher. Mayweather would ko Gamboa.

Sorry, within Gamboa's first 21 bouts ( he only has 21 ) he has fought much better opposition. Gamboa has defeated 3 World Champs in Barros, Solis and Salido, Floyd never did that! ;)
