Andre Ward - Super 6. Not Able to fight for a while. Mikkel Kessler - Nope, Injury delayed Stiglitz fight until April Carl Froch - S6 Sakio Bika - Maybe, Taking warm up on 3rd Andre Dirrell - No way, He needs a warm up now Peter Quillin - Wants to fight at middleweight for now. Glen Johnson - Already Defeated Brian Magee - Already Defeated Sergio Martinez - Martinez won't move up, Doubt bute would go down Bernard Hopkins - Not sure how long the injury will keep him out Who can he face?
the field is really so limited right now, maybe he could draw up a middleweight like Geale or Andy Lee the 168 division is very tied up at the moment
Well I think the soonest he would fight is after S6 anyway, so I'd say he should just fight Froch or Ward next.
He said he wants to fight the winner of the Super Six. If not for Ward's injury delaying the final, the timing would be perfect. But now he may have to wait a couple of months more. Too bad Andre Direll isn't ready, that would be an interesting matchup.
Already defeated Bika too :deal For some reason, Andrade faces Don George in an eliminator December 17. Lets hope George win. Bute - Andrade III :dead
I think the point is, no decent fighter at 168 is avail for a spring fight (Mar/Apr) against Bute. Allan Green or even JT might be, Sartison might as well. Both Green & Sartison refused to fight Bute in the past, I don't see why they would agree now. Green declined an undisclosed amount which Joppy took for Bute's first defence, and Sartison declined $400K guaranteed when Interbox & Showtime were looking around last year (ended up with Magee as Showtime's preference). Might also be looking at an S6 finale rematch in the future, and Kessler-Stieglitz is in April. Bute-Green in Denmark on the Kessler-Stieglitz card? :rofl
Dawson would travel to Canada and certainly would want the payday that Bute's popularity could provide. Lucian's a BIG SMW .. coming in for a one off at 175 would not be problematic and a return to SMW afterwards would be no different than what he deals with for EVERY fight. It is a fight a confident champion could easily grab if he wanted to test himself at the highest level and demonstrate to his fans his quality. Or, he could just find some bum, old man, or other mediocrity as he kills time ... no reason to have challenging risky fights in an athletic career, right?
Larouche & Bute already said Bute's body is being slowly brought up to LHW, and that Bute won't fight LHW's before he's cleaned up SMW.
