Stepping on or behind someone's foot is a common trick. I'm no pro boxer and I've sparred a few guys who have done this to me. It sucks and throws you off the first couple times, you're momentarily off balance.

Any popular fighter can have a rough night. Pacman had a rough night, JMM took it to him with the cleaner punching and moreso by dictating the pace and cadence of the fight. It just looked like a JMM victory from watching how the fight was fought, much more so than the previous two fights.

JMM is a great fighter, fought a great fight, has the style to bother Pacman and won most of the rounds imo. Doesn't mean Pacquiao is bad, all greats lose and have tough fights.

For people using the JMM-Pac III fight as Floyd-fodder, just refer to what Hagler did to Hearns, what Hearns did to Duran, and then the fight between Hagler and Duran--or countless other examples in this vein. Styles make fights.

You can add William Joppy to the list of fighters who thought JMM won. He trains my best friend and told me so personally.

Being a multiple weight world champion you would've thought he might be able to dodge a slap from some seven stone chick.

It was a suckerpunch. Pacquiao was looking at Joe Cortez at the time.
