Touching picture, considering how AIDS was thought of back then. Dejesus was a very good fighter, too bad he was in an era with of the all time greats.

Not at all. My point is he has been outboxed to the point of surrendering and he has been gunned down. He has fought some very tough opponents but only a few on the level of the 3 mentioned. Against the very elite he lost except the humbling of a young Leonard.

duran is an all time great no doubt who used intimidation as a great source of his advantage.i'd love to have seen him against "the hawk" at 140 both at their prime.

Benitez beat Duran at light middleweight (154) and it was Durans like 15th year fighting. He was far past his prime. When you talk about Duran, you talk about his decade of dominance at LW up to Palomino and Leonard.

It's not like Floyd was that impressive at 154 vs. a faded DLH...

Hmm im real young so im not gonna act like my opinion is fact but I think Floyd could take Duran. Pac and Duran would go at it but Duran hits too hard and Pac's defense will be his downfall. JMM would likely get ko'd though and I love jmm but hes to small for Duran.

Floyd can adapt to any style and that includes Duran's bullish style. He can use his superior hand speed and reach (72" for Floyd and 66" for Duran) to land consistently and move away from real danger when duran gets within range. If caught on the ropes Floyd can use similar moves then what he did vs jesus chavez and block body shots while landing flush with uppercuts. Or Floyd can stay outside like SRL in the second fight. (although I've read that Roberto wasnt at his best in that fight) Duran fought in a time period when fighters came to each other and hooked off and whoever was the best stood standing. Floyd can do anything in a boxing ring when he has the persons timing down.

Like most fighter today unless Duran Ko's Floyd in the first 4 rounds then its Likely a UD for Mayweather.

IMO Floyd would win a wide UD whether it was 12 or 15 rounds as Floyd is likely the only boxer who can fight 15 rounds like they used to. If duran is getting hurt with the right hands and check left hooks or the jab is landing with consistency (which I think it would) then the fight may be stopped.

This is all assuming Floyd can take Duran's power shots to the body and seldom shots to the head which he may not be able to.

Will Follow uo with Pac analysis later but jsut got off work and work tomorrow morning so I gotta get some sleep.

NOW BRING ON THE NEGATIVE POSTS IM READY FOR EM'

    disagree
    Mayweather easily beats him.
Marquez is 50/50 depending on the judges.
He beats Pacquiao, his overrated but better defense wins the day.

I'd say Marquez stops him. He managed to stop Katsidis, and Duran's style is best described as "Katsidis-lite" :yep
