Kessler went to Cardiff in his mid-20's to fight a prime Calzaghe. What was Bute - who is around the same age - doing at that time?
How do you know? Really, are you close to the guy? Follow his twitter account much? He's been training and training, in Vegas it seems, but nothing's coming to fruition. The Demers fight was canned, they got Green. There's even a chance we don't see Andre Dirrell back on tv at all. Pascal-Shumenov is way more probable at this point than Bute-Shumenov. Bute would get flak for facing guys that are inexperienced at world level anyway... talking about Groves/Degale, Oosthuizen, Rodriguez... It's been said multiple times already, it's time for him to fight Froch/Ward/Kessler. Depending on the S6 final loser's take on how much a break they need, might see that happen late spring / early summer. Otherwise prolly looking at yet another stay busy fight vs some top 15, and Green is a real possibility unfortunately.
When Kessler has a belt to bargain with I will root for him when he faces Froch, Ward or Bute. Nothing wrong with the route Kessler is taking IMO... Kessler will end up fighting one of the top 4 anyways and earn more money doing it. Lets just all hope that Bute and Interbox will be able to secure a fight with the top 3 ;-)
your are correct, it makes more sence to take that fight, its easyer for one and safer, why all the claiming he will fight him anywhere any time bla bla bla he said when he was in montreal. it sucks that its normal to write a check your not willing to cash. to much of that **** going around.
I guess you don't know how things role??? Sauerland and Interbox call the shots... Kessler and Bute would fight each other anywhere anytime... So plz stop crying you clown...
did i hit a nerv, do you need to end all your post with an insult, i know how it rolls. the way u put it, sounds as if all boxers do this, not the case. just those who speak without thinking.
Interbox/Showtime call Butes shots... Sauerland decides who Kessler fights next... Whats the problem???
He should offer Steiglitz 5 mil and a German venue.....take the WBO belt and force Kessler or Froch to fight him if they want a title. If he can't get Steiglitz he should go ahead and KO the cocky older Dirrel bro, then Green, then publicly CALL OUT and OFFER 5 mil to Ward Froch and Kessler for a uni fight.
Dawson will be wanting a rematch since he no longer has the belt, maybe though if Bute wants a LHW strap. But there is still unfinished business between Dawson and Hopkins and that needs to be settled.
Hopkins shouldn't be injured too long, I doubt the shoulder is actually dislocated. It's amazing Bute can't get a fight with the other top super middleweights. I say he waits for the winner of Froch-Ward.
no i'm not close to him but i know hes training and basically ready to fight. the last thing i've heard of him was when he was on the on the ropes radio show on here few weeks back to promote his tune up that was supposed to take place by now, was on about how he doesn't get any tv dates, how bad he wants Bute, Froch etc how hes going to take over the division in 2012 and plans to dominate along with his brother like the Klitschkos in the heavyweights. his little bro is going to fight St Juste on Shobox while Andre can't get anything set.. Green? cmon Green is a LHW now Bute can't fight him anyway lets say if he fights Green or Andrade III/George in march or february then as long as hes still there & ready to fight either S6 final winner or loser in may or april or whenever they want to return i wouldn't even have a problem with that as long as he doesn't hinder the division because of some joke fight it's not really relevant what he does in the meantime from my point of view. yes:blurp
Who's talking about a year? We are talking about a summer fight against a top dog. I don't want to see him fight another useless clubfighter in spring if he cant get Ward/Froch inititially. Besides Interbox must have made a fortune by now given the relatively low purses Bute has gotten so far so surely they have enough money in the tank to actually make a decent offer.
