    :good I couldn't believe that myself, Amazing work from Reid. Remember the night he won the title. For a young fighter to stop a Italian world champ in own backyard was no mean feat now seeing this i'd of said mission impossible b4 fight :lol:.

    Who else has won a world title without winning a BBBofC, Commonwealth or European title? :think

    Paul Weir hadn't.

    Steve Robinson had only won an area title.

    Nardiello was so hot and cold, but as you mention that was not Reid's concern, and to win the title in Italy was quality.

    Perhaps the theory should be: A Brit needs to score a knockout to draw in Italy. The exception to prove the rule being the WBC Super Middleweight title (Benn/GalvanoI; Reid/Nardiello).

    Sorry Booze, I should explain: Paup Snith and Lucky Sambo are 'fictional' fighters I came up with (Snith by accident, typo) that are part of a long-running in-joke :good

    Amazed (and a bit infuriated!) that Lucky Sambo has already been done....maybe I forgot about him :good
