props to marquez for disproving the odds. i'm actually thinking that these pre-fight odds were absurd considering that jmm gave pac two close fights before. i have no problem with people saying jmm is the winner as long as they recognize that it's a really close fight with almost all the 12 rounds could have went either way.

Puga, as far as the odds are concerned, I voiced beforehand they were spot on.

The odds were fine.
The oddmakers take into account the probability of the underdog getting robbed. I'm not making this up, I actually read it some time ago in an article on how oddmakers come up with their odds numbers.

In this particular case, the 9-1 odds set had alot to do with the oddsmakers knowing that short of a complete dominating beatdown, Marquez had next to zero chance at getting a fair shake at the decision.
