it did on my card. i have pac getting the 10th, 11th and 12th were marquez looked passive. i don't know how this can relate to the official judges cards going into the 10th and 11th round.

i don't think anyone would get jacked if he has 11 "clear' rounds. watching this fight, the only clear round that i can honestly say is the 5th.

i was actually honest in saying it since i have marquez 5 rounds to 4 until he played it much safer in the last few rounds where i gave pac rounds 10, 11 and 12.

now, the official judges are a different matter.

 

On my scorecard, yes. I had JMM ahead 6-5 going into the 12th.

 

wow, so to most it's 11 clear rounds for jmm? that's more dominant than what morales did against pac the first time. jmm is smart and he would not have taken heed even if nacho said it outright that he cruise. it could be that jmm wanted to counterpunch more, stay on the defensive so as to minimize risks. it could be that he got tired (believe it or not, jmm took some solid shots too) or a combination of both.

Not on the official cards; Moretti and Trowbridge's scoring was so bad that he was already screwed come the 11th round. Not on my card either; he was still countering Pacquiao and Pacquiao wasn't exactly doing anything significant in those two rounds either. The Oscar comparison is completely loony. Would anyone have been able to surmise that Marquez had received such advice based on what when on in the ring alone if HBO hadn't aired corner comments?

In between 9 and 10, Roach told Manny in the corner he needs a KO. I suspect Nacho knew Pac was gettin' ready to come with the flyin' wild style all out. Marquez was ready for it, didn't get knocked down, and continued to win the fight.

 

good points, and also Manny Steward in post fight comments "blaming" Marquez loss on his "taking it easy" (on Nacho's advice) the last couple rounds.

That's exactly what happened those who gave pac the late rounds were listening to hbo rather than just seeing JMM stand right in front of Pac and counter him like he did all the other rds. He did not run or give up. Pac engaged less and JMM still was landing jabs, right hands and body shots in between the "action" which Pac did not even get the best of. JMM always landed the last and best punches.
