Wow,you bump something from a yr ago. But its still the truth took a few huge lefts from Ortiz and didn't budge.
Yeah, I don't buy it. I think he has a good chin, or at the very least an average chin. The reason he hasn't been down (or has only been down once) is because he has fantastic defense. We also have to remember that Floyd is a great mind inside the ring. Thus, when Floyd has been rocked he knew exactly what to adjust in order to avoid further damage. Still, he hasn't been hit flush often; what happened during the few times that he got tagged cleanly? We saw him hurt. Compare Floyd to someone like Margarito. Margarito has a fantastic chin, he took a huge amount of solid, hard hitting punches before Mosley had him hurt. We are talking round after round of huge haymakers from a very big puncher. On the other hand, it only took two punches landed cleanly on Floyd to have him wobbled. The truth is, Floyd doesn't need a great chin. His defensive abilities are some of the best the sport has ever seen. I don't see why some fans try to make him out to be this huge puncher, or try to depict him as having a granite chin. He doesn't need those attributes, he does just fine with what he has.
pretty spot on.:good a glass chin can overcome his weakness by having a good D. In Floyd's case, he has average chin, but his defense protects him from getting rocked by a big punch
Watch the 4th Round again very carefully before the head butt. One was a solid left the other was as solid but it was the same type of left hook that floored Berto.
No he does not. Probably one of the best defenses ever but that chin is average at best. 1 Mosley right hand wobbled him. Margarito took about 90 of those to go down.
This exact fabnboy thread pops up every so often. It's like a child running to mommy to confirm she loves him...nothing more.
