Because I think he is coming on long nicely. He is just not ready YET for some of the more seasoned fighters in the division.

He happen to hold someone else's title, and he, his team and the WBC all act like he's a legit champ. I don't think he's getting criticized too much, and he's improving by fight, so it's time to get the Maravilla fight done so nobody could have a bad word.

probably not. He was given the title sort of. I think he is better than people think, although Manfredo was not a great challenge. The way the middleweights are now, Chavez could do well for a few defenses. It isn't like he has the challengers Marvin Hagler had like Vito, Roldan,Hearns and Duran and Hamsho..

But nobody thinks he is ready for that fight right? So if he vacated the title would that solve the problem?

I'm not sure, but I do think that he looks better after being with Roach than he did last year. I think he's getting pretty exciting to watch fight, and even with his improved boxing technique he still wants to let his hands go. Looking forward to his fight for sure.

Of course they would, People have & always will hate on this kid because of the shadow of his father. (Haters 'Gon Hate)

People calling him a BUM & every other boxing cliche is defo not warranted.
It's up to Jr. to continue beating people down until the haters form a bandwagon.

other than it being a farce of a title fight and manfredo a farce of a challenger who did nothing to earn a title shot much like the guy that holds the belt... but i think chavez looked good...hes gotten alot better...he looks strong and taking punches well....

HBO refused Zbik Martinez but were fine with Zbik Chavez...
They told Martinez to vacate or fight somewhere else.
Chavez was handed the belt but he almost failed.

heres the problem i have with him and arum
1.The kids 42-0 and hes fighting guys like manfredo in a division stacked full of talented fighters the only guy they can find is manfredo?
2.arum knows how limited he is and thats why hes been matched against soft competition, manfredo was a semi-retired fighter and Now they want to see him fight a full time promoter just to set the record straight with mexican fans.
3.Chavez has been given gift decisions throughout his career to guys like carlos molina and cab drivers like matt vanda,

Chavez Jr. generates more $ than Martinez...
    Just the way it is.

I know it sucks donkey dick... But it's true.
(Reason why this fight will take forever to make IF ever)

Martinez is not worth it to any of the promoters to throw their guys against.
    (Dude generates nothing)

Thats exactly the situation with Martinez.
He's without a doubt the best middleweight in the world.
But you'd have to be a damn fool if you're Arum to match a young and still learning champion like Chavez Jr. against the very best middleweight, when you can just about match Chavez with anyone and make nearly the same ammount of money having matched him with Martinez.

The word is that Arum might match Chavez with the winner of Margarito-Cotto.
That makes all the sense in the world as any matchup with the winner of that fight against Chavez would sure to sell more PPV than a Chavez-Martinez matchup.
.....and the risk would be less in those fights than it would be a Martinez matchup.

Martinez is too good right now for the unseasoned Chavez, and everyone involved here including Martinez knows it.

I feel bad for Martinez as I think its evident that none of the top names out there want any part of him at the moment.

Where's Mayweather Jr at to take on a real challenge like Martinez. The best P4P in the world like Mayweather is, chould be looking for such challenges.......but even he is a fighter that turns away from such challenges.

Yep. For some reason, alot of keyboard warriors have come to hate the legend that is JC Chavez, and they're taking out their frustrations on Jr.

I dont have a problem with this type of mindset, as long as you apply it to other champions that routinely fight fighters not desevering of a title shot.

Canelo Alvarez is about to fight Kermit Cintron who is'nt any more deserving than Manfredo was vs Chavez.

Why fighters like Cintron and Manfredo keep getting title shots is a problem with the corrupt sanctioning bodies of this sport.
