Just watched Carlos Ortiz in his third match and successful title defense against Ismael Laguna. Ortiz was one great fighter who could really box and punch. Roberto Duran is always being touted as perhaps the best lightweight champion of all time. He was one of my favorites to watch. I am not at all sure Duran would have his way with Ortiz. Ortiz getting the win here wouldn't surprise me.

Ortiz would steal some rounds with his jab and outside game.....But at the end of the day I like Duran in this one.....even on the outside Duran was great as was Ortiz......
That would be a beautiful fight....

Back in the late 60's & early 70's, those types of fights usually ended up as "series" with a rubber match required.

This could be like Willliams and Montgomery

In a trilogy, Duran would take 2 out of 3, but Carlos would beat him in one of their fights imo.

I see Duran being too much for Ortiz..... A good scrape, but Duran by late rd. TKO or decision...
