How would you rate David Price's power?

I'd say he has some serious power in that right hand.

 

He hits hard.

Its not his power or skills that will let him down though, its his chin.

 

I'd say he has moderately adequate to good, varying to great at times power with a hint of dynamite power and a frequent tendency of Bob Arum pun-cheese.


Seriously though, just my opinion but I don't get the need to rate people's power. Most of the time it's irrelevant. It's all bout having the punch technique to follow through or be really sharp and accurate. Price has a good frame, and can lean down on his punches enough to wear down most. He also seems pretty sharp and does follow through quite well so his power is definitely good enough.

He has the power that makes opponents a little bit shocked when they feel it.

No doubt he can bang but you can't rate it until he fights someone decent as Manning said.

 

Just idle chatter from what I can tell so far.

I think when put under the hot lights, one of the people claiming he's chinny couldn't come up with anything more than "he just has the look, tall and lanky". :roll:

 

That and having seen him stopped and put all over the place in several amateur fights.
