Pull-Ups, Chin-ups, Push-ups, Sit-ups

    How many would you say a boxer should do? This might sound like a stupid question but I just want to get a good idea.

    I just do a pullup every time I walk by the door frame it's on. Can do a lot more now.

    I bought an Iron Gym Bar. Doesn't fit on any of my doors. **** my life. I'm gonna use it for push-ups though. Works out the chest a lot more than regular ones. Weighted push-ups as well. Triceps sore like a ***** :deal

    There's no guidelines for such a thing. It'd be ridiculous to say boxers should be able to do xx amount of pullups, sprinters xx amount, powerlifters xx amount, olympic lifters xx amount etc. You could get away with saying the avaerage guy to be considered somewhat strong should be able to do at least 10 pullups for example, but trying to put numbers on different athletes is pointless.

    Like someone already said, it comes down to the individual. Do what YOU can.

    Simply put, take what you can already and try and improve. Always strive to be better.

    I'll actually give an answer for what I think a relatively strong gym goer should be able to do, but take it with a grain of salt.

    Pull ups/chin ups 12-15 at a time.
    Push ups 50 or more at a time
    Sit ups-don't know

    Rubin Carter used to do 5,000 Push ups and 5,000 Sit ups a day, in sets of 100.
