I heard that and its ironic that Lampley would say this. He has been as much a Pacman cocksucker as anyone.

Pac and Floyd both cherrypick at times, though they both have outstanding accomplishments. And they both have insufferable irrational fans.

Irrational is the middle name of Jim Lampley's following as an HBO commentator. Merchant is the guy who backed up Pacquiao always and was criticizing Mayweather as a business and show sportsman from the beginning.

It was good matchmaking so good that most of us thought that he was going to lose those fights

IMO he's not being discredited at all. These are rational criticisms that were ignored by most of the so-called boxing experts because several parties in the sport had a vested interest in cashing in on the Pac hysteria.

I couldn't agree . *******s are the dumbest fans in all of sport today. Most don't know **** about the sport outside of Pac and they think he's the greatest boxer to ever live, despite being very limited and flawed.

    Lampley offers a respectable opinion.
Kellerman just sounds like a typical hater.
Like one of the first posters said, Kellerman wasn't saying anything like that before or during those fights. **** him

lol, it wasn't a great performance? He didn't just maul Paulie, he completely outboxed Malignaggi, who many were picking to make Hatton look average. Hatton looked a better boxer than ever. It was second greatest win after Tszyu. Hatton had a similar run into the Mayweather fight as he did against Pac, arguably losing to Collazo at 147, had an ugly and tough win over Urango, before looking good against an old and shot Castillo. I bet you won't be taking away from Mayweather's victory over him though.

Mab, JMM and Morales were his best wins, where he overcame the gap in skill with his speed and power. The DLH fight, Roach deserves credit because he saw something before the fight most of us never would have seen, it was a big upset and easy to forget everyone was expecting DLH to crush him.

But after that, the wins start to get overrated, it was careful match making and people forget that he has not been an underdog since DLH. A lot of the guys coming off of KO losses before Pac fought them and they reused and reused the same "guy xyz is so much larger than pacquaio, can he over come the size difference" for marketing every time but the people willing to put the money down knew pac would win.

And majority of these were said, most if not all here on ESB, either before the fight started after seeing both fighters or when the fight was first signed. Wasn't the vast majority, but a lot of us spoke out on how we felt... But back then it was 'hating' on whoever Pac chose to fight instead of calling it like it was.
