Same thing could be asked of Oscar, would he have ever become the big crossover star if Arum hadn't built him up with all his bull**** and hype, and great promotional effort like time square posters, tv plugs he got him, etc..? It's irrelevant though, Top Rank and Mayweather promotions should be able to make this fight on their own.

I'm just saying Arum is Pacquiao's promoter, Oscar doesn't promote neither fighter. It's obvious who doesn't deserve a slice of the pie and is the odd promoter out. If Floyd is his own boss, has his own promotional company and guys he trusts and loves Haymon and Ellerbe as able negotiators, why even need Golden Boy needlessly taking money from the pot?
