If he wants to beat Ward he has to get a KO. They suck ward off in the states so froch probably needs a KO just to get a draw

 

I'm kinda thinking along the same lines.Wards one crafty mutha ****er,and seems to find a way to win,so no way will i put the guy down,but he's got away with murder in previous fights.I wouldn't be surprised if he fouled the **** out of Froch,and Froch got a pouint deduction for retaliating.
If Ward wins the fight fairly,then i take my hat off to him,and concede that the better man won,but i don't wanna see any of that Kessler/headbutting/elbowing/clinching **** again.

 

I had Taylor ahead by 2 points before the 12th. Without the KD, Froch was losing.

 

How do you see it going? I have Ward building a lead before Froch takes him to the depths for a late shootout.Bit similar to the one being discussed.

 

I believe what you are saying except its gonna be a WIDER Margin they Taylors lead.

 

I felt it was almost even but Taylor pulled ahead.

This isn't true. Ward in Oakland and Ward in AC are 2 different things. He has no functional fan base on the east coast or anywhere other than Oakland. Now I hope something silly like a robbery doesn't go down, because I'll look foolish. Wouldn't be the 1st time though.

 

An interesting question is how do you think a rematch (immidiate) would have gone hmmmmmmm...

 

I have Ward as the betting favourite,better boxer,abilty to nullify his opponents advantages,huge self belief,and almost certain home cooking.
Thing is,Froch has made a career out of proving people wrong,and doing what he's not supposed to do.All his fights are entertaining,and thats his problem,he doesn't always listen to McCracken,and makes fights harder than they need to be.He may be limited,he may eat too many punches,but he keeps on winning against the odds.

Yeah,sometimes I think McCracken would be as well sitting at ringside between rounds.

First of all Taylor was on the slide when Froch fought him,thing was,Froch was away from home,and although he was keen to impress,he was tentative,and not his usual self.
In a rematch,Froch would have known what he was up against,i think he'd have gone after Taylor sooner,or maybe would have surprised us,and waited for Taylor to slow before administering the coup de grace earlier.

 

It was a close fight but still, Froch was about to lose the fight before putting Taylor KO.

 

Competitive fight but Taylor was going to win. His style was and is difficult for Froch though he has adapted somewhat post the other slicksters he has faught now.

 

I will watch the fight again but I seem to remember having Taylor in a fair lead, but cant remember by what.

 

Froch wasn't getting schooled, that's a lazy term that gets slung about far to easy IMO. Froch started extremely slow. I don't think he adapted to speed well nor did the fact he hardly warmed up help. He slowly got into the fight and started to break Taylor down with crushing right hands that digged hard enough to break his will plus applying steady pressure to force him to fight and gas. Then finished him brilliantly stalking his prey and taking him out.

I had the fight close with Froch getting momentum around the 4th or 5th and putting rounds together.
