Since the last fight everyone has the perception that mayweather will beat pac man easily. Its easy to think that but the major difference that is vastly over looked is that mayweather does'nt throw combinations which is why marquez has success against paquio. I still think manny out works mayweather 2 to 1 and wins an easy decision or late tko bc mayweather is strickly a one punch fighter with great defense these days and that defense will help but many will get him on the ropes and only have 1 punch at a time to worry about.

I agree. The success of marquez is that he gives ground slowly ( that is to say is not totally in reverse) and punches with pacquiao. He throws a combination the same time as pacqiuao throws his. It's high risk high reward..it has allowed him to catch pacman many times but it has also got him knocked down four times. He's WILLING to get hit to deliver his counters. He's not afraid to stand in the pocket.

Floyd on the other hand WILL not fight like that. He won't be willing to stand in the pocket and punch with pacquiao. He will need to depend on maintaining the distance with his jab and trying to pot shot pacquiao. At some point he's going to get hit..and lately that hasn't worked out well for him...the zombie of shane mosley nearly took him out with one shot, and he flew to the ropes like he hit with a bat when ortiz hit him with one right hook.

Marquez threw 36 punches per round against Manny. You're right though, Marquez throws more combos. However, Mayweather is a harder puncher, is faster, more accurate, and has better footspeed. There are many things that Mayweather does better than Marquez, and really only one thing Marquez does better(or at least more often) than Floyd. Anywway, the TS seems to be implying that Marquez is a tougher fight than Mayweather for Manny. If that's true, Manny should definitely fight Floyd next and then Marquez afterwards.

Not easier but totally different floyd wont have the same success marquez had he might still win but he simply does'nt throw the combos to win that way. he might win on power and speed but the fights will not be the same in anyway in my view.

Trust me! FM will not give ground like many of Pacmans opponents have. That is another reason JMM had success against Pac. Many guys let Pac jump in and try to retreat. JMM never retreated when Pac jumped in. At this stage of pac's career, He reminds me of Tyson, and the aura of invinsibility. Until Buster Douglas, who never backed up and let Tyson throw 4-5 punches and try to survive. He offset Tyson and disrupted his attack with well timed jab , stepping in and throwing and countering. If anyone can disrupt Pacmans offensive attack it's the defensive wizard named Floyd Mayweather. Does anyone really doubt FM can't do this?

Tyson was KTFO by Douglas, Pac. and Marquez was a great full distance chess match. I favor Floyd, but it's the best fight out there unless Floyd moves up.

The only thing I see possibly hurting Floyd's chances against Pac is that he is not willing to get hit in order to connect meaning that his punch output will be lower than JMMs but I see Floyd connecting the better punches throughout the fight. If Pac-Marquez 3 was won apparently on agressiveness, I can see something similar happening in Pac-Floyd

Floyd can do simple combos like this and keep Pac off

I never liked Floyd's style against Pacquiao. Punch output too low. Too flat footed. Too cagey. Afraid to get hit. etc.
