The ugly thing about the Thompson fight is I never believed Chambers wanted it, as Chambers was never enthusiastic about it and he isn't a good bullshitter. They had a primetime Showtime slot and he waits till the last minute to cancel...nicht gut.

Honestly, the guy is promoted badly. He's an articulate young fighter with a sense of humor.....and he wants to make money. So Goosen should be encouraging him to get his name out in the media, call dudes out, etc (guys he can beat, not dangerous southpaws like TT). Part of the problem is Goosen also promotes the fighter (Arreola) that Chambers would be calling out in the ideal world.

Sure he beat Dimitrenko but since then Dimitrenko has not seemed as formidable--indeed the impression one gets is he was a hypejob all along and we didn't know it till he fought Chambers.

Look--if he doesn't want another K2 fight, he should go to cruiser. If he wants a K2 (presumably Vitali), then it wouldn't be that hard to get it...just go out there and fight some hungry young contender and prove yourself. Idk....Solis, Lawrence, Welliver, Pulev, KJohnson, Grant...someone like that. He can't just wait for Adamek or Fury or Povetkin to just give him a fight...why should they? But a fight with Solis would be good since (like Sam Peter when Chambers beat him) Solis needs a big win to get back in contention and can't wait forever.

Vitali seems to like a challenge....and given that Chambers isn't demanding the amount of money that Haye or SNV or Povetkin want, it wouldn't be too hard to make it happen. But Chambers needs to fight a live body first.
