the ringside judges view is the most important thing in a fight because its their job no matter what you think or others seems to see it....they judge it as they see it....

Giampa broke the fight down like many of us here that scored for Marquez.

I have yet to read a well written and eloquent post describing why and how Pacquaiao won that fight.

The extent of an explanation of why Pacquiao in anyone's opinion won has been, "he was the effective aggressor and he outlanded Marquez."
.....which is unaccpetable because anyone in defense of Marquez like Giampa did, can point to several factors as to why Pacquiao's aggression was not effective.

I'll add another reason why Pacquiao was'nt effective.......when did he ever put even two punches together???? If Pacquiao put more than 2 punches together to form an effective attack, I did'nt see it..
For the great majority of rounds, Pacquiao was reduced to landing single shots and even those were landing with reduced power as he often found himself reaching or being smuthered and parried on the inside when he was connecting.

Marquez' shots consistently round after round were clear, clean, hard, and thus effective.

I'm just putting it in simple terms as far as connects go, if we put all the other factors like pace, tempo, and controlling the action in the ring through ring generalship, Marquez far and away seperates himself from Pacquiao even more.

....but hey, the goons who defend that Pacquiao won say it like this, "he was busier and was the effective aggressor."
They cant go any further than that because simply they cant provide examples of how and why Pacquiao was the effective aggressor when it was'nt there because they would simply look like complete fools in attempting to explain a cause for Pacquiao.
Just go look at HBO explanation in the aftermath. They all call what Pacquiao was doing as effective, but concede Marquez' shots were clearer, cleaner, and harder, and it was he who was landing in combination.

Those goons at HBO make the case for Pacquiao effective aggression and then when they break down the fight happenings, describe a scenario where there is every reason to have Marquez winning.:nut
I thought Emmanuel Steward especially looked like a complete idiot in attempting to explain his stance.

Why is this guy retired and incompetent people are left to ref fights.
That said im sure Arum could pay this guy too if he really wanted too.

8 - 4 or 7 - 5 for Marquez are the only correct ways to score this (latter if you are VERY generous to Pacs ineffective aggression)

Not sure if there is anything to it.... But not counting Marquez's rongside fans, it seems that many people objectively scoring the fight at home had Marquez winning(myself included) while many ringside scorers had it in favor of Pacquiao.

And although here were plenty who dont fit this equation, could it just be that the home and ringside experience provide that much of a difference? Just a thought.

How can you say that many at ringside had it for Pacquiao.
HBO's poll showed 12% of boxing media scored the fight for Pacquiao?

    Not consistently, no.

Many of those heavy shots and combos Marquez fired where landing on Mannys forearms and elbows. It seems like Roach has put in some serious work on improving Mannys defence.

I have nothing but the deepest respect for Marquez performence, but he only shined in short moments.

    Were they all ringside?

I hadn't heard that they were.

I'm just saying a huge # of tv viewers had it for JMM. A less proportionate amount of ringsiders had it for Pac. I thought there may be something to it. Maybe I'm wrong.

You're in the deep minority here. Even most of those that scored for Pacquao back there stance only with, "he was busier and landed more."

They both paid attention to defense. Certainly Marquez did'nt just stand at ring center and tee off on Pacquiao. I think some of the Pacquiao fans here are of the position that Marquez would have to do this in order to merit a round.
Marquez however landed his cleaner and harder connects alot more frequently than Pacquiao did, by far more frequently actually.

Fact.....look at the look of frustration on Pacquiao's face throughout and at the end of the fight.

    Look at Marquez'???

Tell me at what point in the fight does Marquez look frustrated?????

The looks on the fighters faces and the body language they displayed during and after the fight speak volumes.
