Cotto needs to get over himself

Compared to the Cotto we first saw, this one is like a diary to pick up and read. I don't mind, I think it'll even have PR's warm to him almost like they did Tito.
I can't critisize a man for being affected by the death of their father either, in no way shape of form.

 

I think he needs to get over the speculation that he was pounded with loaded wraps, he's too caught up in it still, and there is no proof in his fight that it happened, none, zilch, nada. That, in itself makes me think Margarito is way too much in his head and will win the fight.

 

He didn't even comment on the loaded wraps before if I remember rightly, HBO were praising him for being very classy about it, then the fight is announced and he becomes obsessed.

Sure Cotto didn't say anything about the wraps at first, but doesn't anyone think he was trying to get information together before he spoke his opinion in public? At least he has a damn good reason to be obsessed.

Cotto’s the same he’s always been. It’s just that now, a re-match is looming with a man who could have used illegal hand-wraps, and his thoughts/feelings are being magnified by the media and HBO 24-7.

Besides, even if he is whinging, he’s got a perfectly good reason to do so. We are not the ones who were beaten to a pulp and had our undefeated records and prime brutally snatched away from us. And if there’s a good chance that it was all done by illegal means, then I don’t blame him one bit for investigating and questioning Margarito’s integrity. Too much has happened to Cotto from that beat-down, for him to just ignore and be all forgiving. If this is enabling him to build up all the motivation and confidence he needs to get his revenge, then all the power to him.

There will forever be a * next to Margo's win over Cotto in the first fight, whether anyone likes it or not.

At least the second fight there will (hopefully) be no reason to say anything other than it was a legit win.

Because if Margo beats Cotto again, I can do nothing but accept Margo has Cotto's number.
