mate who the hell had Sylvester fought and beat before? Yes he was a good fighter but Beyer was a 2 time WBC champion, beat Lucas and Green, and won the belt of a champion (not a vacant strap). Sylvester has also just been KOed by a guy who has never won a world title.

Like I said, Sylvester is good, but not as good as Beyer, and no where near as good as Ottke.

Ottke was boring, but he was very good.

Is this a dream bout? :p

    Maybe for Sam.

If the justification is having both beaten Albert scant months apart...well, that's a bit thin. It's hard to argue Sam (who I love, btw) as a legitimate contender. However, Daniel's banked enough cred in the last year between Karmazin and Sylvester to afford a straight pair of so-so defenses at home. If it's a big money gate, more power to him.

@sox, you quoted the 06'07 version of mandy would beat Ottke, I agree, but I think it is clear the 06'-07 version of Mandy would also well account for Geale, most likely KO, so not getting the comparison?

    No, I don't believe so.
Current Geale beats the best of both Ottke and Mandy IMO.

And Beyer gets beat by all of the above IMO.

Best Geale, has done absolutley nothing at this stage to suggest he would beat best version of mundine. Maybe he will prove that he is that good one day, but at this stage all he has achieved in boxing is a)close loss to a faded mundine, b)good win over a shot karmazin and c) a close win over a shot sylvester, who was then pumped in his next fight.

So your claim, whilst I hope Geale does prove it, to date, he has done nothing to substantiate that claim.
So still, at this point, Best mandy, far greater then best geale, and Current Geale does not beat Ottke.,definetly doesnt beat Kessler, and maybe beats Bayer,

Absolutely nothing? Geez, you're doing your best to knock the man down.

    Anyway, I respectfully disagree.
A - Mandy was in tip top form that night, perhaps past his peak, but not by much.
B - Karmazin wasn't as shot as you think IMO, he spent 3 days in hospital after that fight and likely wasn't the same fighter in his next fight.
C - Sylvester was also not shot, again, perhaps a little past his best, but far from shot.
We'll just have to agree to disagree, and we'll never find out anyhow.
    Far greater now? C'mon.....
Nope, beats em' all except Kessler.

Anyway, we're going around in circles here.....

@ Whopper and sox, fair enough, just my oppinion, hey I like Geale, i really do. I just don't think that he has yet done anything inside the ring to suggest that the best geale (to date not potential) is better then the best mundine. And Mundine has the points on the board against geale. Anyways just my oppinon, go ozzy boxing!

That was one of the best performances from Mundine I'd seen in a long time and most certainly since.

Geale brought out another gear in him and though he had trouble, he had a very good argument for getting home there.

A rematch is essential. and it would be actually a Mundine fight I would look forward to..I can't remember the last time I said that.

    It's all good mate. :good
Agree with all of it except for the last paragraph.
I think a rematch was essential immediately after the first fight, but now it's a 'too little too late' scenario, but I guess it's another way to see Mandy on his back! :hey

Sorry Sox but I have to disagree with you on this , Today's version of Geale suffers defeat against all three fighters mentioned by you , Lead right is correct , Beyer was a two time champ @ 168lbs and Ottke was a solid technical fighter ( too technical for Geale I reckon ) as for the version of Mundine Sven Ko'd ? Well I still think Mundine would have bullied him , I ain't no fan of Mundine but what I just wrote I believe to be true fairs fair , Geale is a good middleweight who should be challenging other top ten Middles to gain higher rankings with the other ABC bodies and not fighting 38 year old middles ( as classy as Sam is ) .

Fight would be a waste of time. Geale would win it without any problems.

Geale should target a defence on HBO against a good contender. Someone like Quillan or Lee.

Also, Sox. You're a maniac. You probably think Geale would beat a prime Hagler.
