Aye I kno how ya feel..If I was a pacturd, I would feel horrible too man..Pac just really let the fans down by getting exposed by some bum from mexico..well either way, we remain un-embarrassed, undefeated, & 42-0, Hoe!

I think the same applies for Williams-Martinez I and Alexander-Kotelnik. It really seems like judges (at least in the US) seem to favor aggression over clean effective punches, whereas fans (like here in the forum) seem to favor the latter

Given this, it seems unlikely that "the fix was in" for these fights, it's more a case that judges criteria for scoring aren't aligned with the fans criteria.

Personally, it's more a question of where the line is drawn. How much does a fighter need to outland his opponent for aggression to be a better criteria over clean effective punching? 5 glancing/probing/weak punches to 1 solid punch? 3:1? 10:1? Because it seems that there are just certain stylistic match ups where 1 fighter will land more shots that are not very meaningful and another will land less shots, but more of his shots will be meaningful.

You're an "under cover pacnut" Merk. I told you before you're not fooling me. Ease up kid.. that line seems to have blurred between this ALT and your real screen name.:yep "If I was a pacturd":rofl you're silly as **** Merk. Juans a bum.... Floyds a fraud and Pac is really on the mysterious "A side of meff" :rofl

And you're right about being undefeated.....and I do believe being 42-0 is the same thing as being undefeated. but "un-embarrassed"? Floyd?. Floyd has more embarrassing moments than he has altercations with security gurads.:yep

    "42-0.....Hoe"... Mad corny Merk..lol

No, the judges just find a way to give all benefit to the more popular fighter.
......case in point, aggression was'nt awarded to Marvin Hagler over Ray Leonard, and that was a case where Hagler was both aggressive and landed the more effective punches.

.....its just a case of a combination of who's more popular, and has the promoter of that fighter greased my hands as of late.

the same people who used the compubox figures to justify pac's win against marquez in fight 3 are the same people who ignored them when marquez landed more in the second fight (according to compubox).
as someone else said 'compubox doesn't count whether a punch was effective or not; it just counts that it scored'.

Merk..... You silly man. There are a lot of worse case scenarios in taking an "L". Losing to a shot Juan Marquez would be a lot better than losing to a shot Charlie Z.:yep

But no one can tell the difference between a prime or shot Z....and it's evident that Juan is as shot as Floyd Jr.:D But you know that Merk.

PAC lost a few times yes..... But so have the past greats who are mentioned in the same breath as PAC.. Floyd unfortunately can't claim that right now. He's compiled a wonderful record...unblemished and certainly very good. But as a great fighter he only has a "very good" resume.

PAC as you know is Fighter of the Decade for a reason... This ain't a dick measuring contest which wouldn't be fair to Floyd. My man Merk.... You straight bananas kid.

If they lost before than what makes them so great?..I think that makes Floyd WAAY More great considering that he's still unbeaten! And What does Carlie Z and Floyd Sr have to do with the Great Floyd Mayweather Jr?...Quit going into frustrated tangents and keep ya mind on the fact that we're 42-0 Hoe!

    Very surprised people haven't mentioned
that Marquez was unable to get off combos. He
is one of the best in the game throwing combos. When a fighter ain't doing what he does best he gonna come up short. Manny's speed made Juan only able to throw 1 shot at a time. Even if he landed everyone which didn't
happen he got outworked and never did enough damage to stop what the super champ does best at Welter which is the right hook.

JMM did land but not with regularity because Pacquiao himself was conservative with his output. Nevertheless, JMM landed the more eye-catching punches, while Pacquiao missed a lot and never landed anything significant. And just how did Pacquiao outwork Marquez? By bouncing back and forth while hitting gloves and air?

And save me the CompuBox argument. Compubox is subjective also and not void of corruption.

Here's your CompuBox. Do these two seem like their immune to Arum's influence? Right...
