And you don't need to have watched all of Jones's fights to understand this point, you just need to not be a ****ing dip**** like the TS!! :rofl

the people who make that fairest analysis on these boards (and not the delusional, blinkered fan boys) will sum up roy jones in the following way

    - amazingly physical capabilities

    - proven banned anabolic steroid cheat - how much did this play a part in his career? did roys demise in performance come as a result of taking no more risks with the PED's?

    - never beat a lineal champion in his entire career

    - never beat a unified champion his whole career

    - fought sub-standard fighters for the majority of his career

was ranked p4p number 1 for 5 years during this horrific run of opponents at 175

    - del valle
    - otis grant
    - richard frazier
    - shot reggie johnson
    - david talesco
    - richard hall
    - eric harding
    - derrick harmon
    - gonzales
    - glen kelly
    - clinton woods

    - roy looked great clowning the likes of pazienza, telasco, and shot lacy but when faced with real adversity, he folded like a lawn chair

    - couldn't adapt in the ring, when plan A didn't work in the ring, roy didn't have the boxing brain to be able to adapt to a plan B

    - terrible punch resistance

This *** obviously hasn't seen the 1st fight with Montell Griffin.

This *** always exposes himself as having not seen relevant fights whenever he posts.

    :rofl

Gotta go with this..in fact..I'm still of the opinion that I don' see any fighter beating a prime Roy jones from 147 to 175..not even the GOAT SRR..he was simply too physically gifted..offence and defence..Sure most would have shot..but that's it.

He simply just did'nt do enough..his resume' by comparison to the other ATGs in those division pales badly IMO..

I have him Top 30-ish ATG..and I'm being generous if you look at the resumes of the guys in that Top 30 bracket.

    :good

I dont have time to endorse my interest for boxing as much as I would like, because I have other ambitions in life as well. Of course I have seen Jones highlight KO's and stuff like that, but I wanted to hear from people that have fallowed his career close up why they appreciate him so much. Calzaghe was mentioned for the rise and fall-perspective, which ads a touch of sadness to Jones obviously amazing career. So I am telling ya you get all worked up for no reason, but hey thats fine. It is just an internet message board anyway, after all :good

so out of all the irrfutable facts that i just mentioned, the only return point you can muster is a subjective opinion about how roy jones fought against midget griffin :oops::oops::oops: :lol::rofl

    roy jones had no plan B . . . . . . . NONE :deal

when fighters are faced with adversity, real greats show what they are made of, instead roy jones collapsed like a 96 year old pensioner who had just been hit over the head with a cricket bat

Immediately after Virgil Hill went to a competitive decision with very good, world-class lhw champ Dariusz Michalczewski in Germany, Roy Jones knocked him out in 4.

That's just one sign of many that Jones was on another level entirely. :smoke
