The primary use of steroids in pro-sports is RECOVERY. No normal human being can handle training for 6 hours 7 days a week, the body is not a machine and it gives out. Steroids are used to accelerate recovery and reduce the downtime. Yes, it is fairly common to associate steroids with pumped up juiceboxes at the gym, however that is a generally incorrect view when it comes to pro sports.

 

there must be more cheating disgraces that can be added to the list. i'm sure there are a number of suspected drug cheats that can be discussed as well.

the drop in pacquiao's performance level recently has been very interesting.

Yeah I checked. The substance was Androstenedione which is an androgenic-anabolic steroid.

The product entered the IOC list of banned substances in 1997. The Hall fight was in 2000.
