don't go worrying about popkins, he's not labelled 'fragile popkins' for no reason

when the going gets tough, fragile popkins is just like roy jones and 'ducks' the challenge

in fact, respected esb warrior silencer labelled him 'pissy popkins' due to his pathetic agenda's and pettiness

yep that victory against virgil hill proves that roy jones was unbeatable at 175

DM and ageing former welterweight hearns must also be unbeatable at 175 seen as they both exposed hill before jones even had the bottle to fight him :rofl

You've never seen the fight because you're not a boxing fan. We all know this by now. I'm actually boring myself even replying to you, there's no fun in talking to a troll who hasn't actually seen any fights. :dead

Tarver I is the epitome of this. Everything you stated he did in that fight, against a guy in Tarver who had been dreaming of that moment for 20+ plus years.

    Give the man his due.

This reminds me of those folks who used to criticize Tiger Woods for not having any come from behind tourney wins, as if that negated that the fact that he ripped the heart out of his competitors loing before the final day.

Reminds me of that saying (John Wooden, I believe): "Great teams don't win close games. Great teams avoid them."

Yes, your need for back and forth insults is the signum of a genuine boxing fan.

I think I just leave you and Silencer at it now. Enjoy ...

The sign of a genuine boxing fan is someone who questions the greatness of a fighter on the sole basis of one fight which occurred years after the fighter was already shot to smithereens. :rofl

    Miserable thread, really. :dead

Ill get crap for this but oddly enough his one sided beating of Woods,
is proof of just how good he is.

Woods is a guy who would break even with Glen Johnson over 3 fights, and be a decent title holder, but Jones absolutely annihilaited him for 6 rounds.

The difference between Jones and "the rest" at that point was huge.

Perhaps a pattern that great fighters are seen as wihtout real competition because they dominate so clearly?
