No boxer could give Bute a boxing lesson, at 168.

Comparing Bute, a slick southpaw, to Kessler does not make any sense either. First off Bute, would not fight Ward in California, so like in the kessler fight, Ward will not be able to elbow him and ram him with his head.

Bute would simply outwork him and be too big and too strong for him. Ward would not, as much as wanted anyway, be able to get inside and rough up Lucian, b/c of Bute's one punch power.

Where do you get it differs from most? Pound for Pound its real simple

What the hell? Williams got his ass beat by Lara. Pavlik is a drunk. Barker you got to be kidding me with that one. But its you opinion I guess.

But you know who is the better fighter between Ward and Sergio. Its WARD

People base it on their achievements, not how good they appear to be. I'd have Rigondeaux in the P4P top 10 based on skills but it's ridiculous to do that because he hasn't PROVED it. How are you not grasping this?

Williams was p4p top 15 when Martinez originally beat him. Pavlik was undisputed number 1 in the middleweight division when Martinez moved up in weight to fight him. (Martinez really a light middle fighting at 160, that is also a factor).

Why aren't you scrutinising Ward's wins in the same fashion. Abraham getting schooled twice before he fought Ward. Bika and Miranda who lose every time they step up to world class. Greene who lost to old man Johnson. See, it's very easy to play that game. ;)

Just out of pure curiousity, are you a black American by any chance?

The least a fan like you can do is not call the others delusionals.

I can see Ward's style being made for Bute if I want to. Ward comes lunging and receives a big uppercut. KO in the first round. Of course, I don't believe what I just wrote. You do. I repeat: Ward was not impressive against bika, Green and Abraham. You have no facts to prove he will school Bute. You are just acting like a nuthugger, hiding it behind some boxing knowledge.

Your opinion is extremely biased. you should not bet your house on that fight.

Ward schools Bute. He'll neutralize Bute's power while at the sametime getting hammered to the body. Ward is also I think very underrated fighting at a distance he fights very much like Floyd potshotting.

Perfect analysis, and the only poster i've seen thats mentioned Wards tendency to hang his chin out at times.I'd noticed this a few times in his earlier fights, and thought Kesslers uppercut would find its target, but whilst a couple whistled past during the fight,Ward managed to dodge them.
Excellent boxing brain, and great ring management, not sure i see him as a future P4P #1 though. :good

Very true, hopefully the highly versatile Ward does not go down the Mayweather route, and become a coward and cherry pick fights.

That would mean going to Canada, which I doubt he will.

No boxer is a coward. I don't know if Ward would cherry pick like Floyd because I don't believe he will be a ppv star. Usually ppv stars cherry pick their fights. Ward's style is boring to casual fans.

Ward isn't going overseas. Maybe the UK but not Canada.

    :thumbsup

That does not make any sense. Either way Ward as of now is not a draw, even in Oakland. If "money talks" he will have to deal.
