interesting reading lads...for some reason im loving watching educated pressure fighters at the moment, getting inside a better boxer and calmly working on them. Flea any recommendations? Fenech in any fight in particular? It started a few weeks ago when i was watching Chavez v Rosario... the pressure, the stamina, punch selection, just relentless

just watched Lopez alvarez I. Thought Alvarez won. Here is what my untrained eye saw about lopez: - He used his jab alot, trying to keep Alvarez of him. - he was very good at slipping punches - He looked very tense?? - He was very disciplined, didn't throw wild shots, and looked technical good Just my two cents. share your thoughts on the fight, and lopez in general.
All fair observations, the second fight is a real good watch as well and you see Lopez really having to grind out the win which you seldom seen him do. Most entertaining scrap of his career. If you want to see his more impressive performances check out his fights with Sorjaturong, Ohashi, Preecha and Sanchez. Yep, Lopez was 'past his best' by the time he moved up to fight Alvarez at a weight that actually means something. Ohashi is his best performance IMO. And Saman Sorjaratung, good shouts by Antcull there :deal
Not tense, he's just quite a stiff, robotic fighter. Just incredibly methodical, his punching form is amongst the best I've ever seen (with no great wins mind)

There's also plenty of really entertaining fights with fighters that aren't necessarily great but still near the top of their division, Juan Palacios is always fun to watch, as are Luis Concepcion and Hugo Cazares(well, against Nashiro[twice] he is).
