Glass Jaw Wlad's best win is Chris Byrd.

A natural super-middleweight who had already been blasted out in 5 rounds by a Nigerian nutjob.

Think about that for a second before ranking Glass Jaw Wlad.

Byrd is an important fighter for both Klitschkos legacies. He's Wlad's best win and beat Vitali but people forget how easily Ibeabuchi smashed him. He didn't improve as a fighter from the Ibeabuchi loss to Vitali win, so it's puts into perspective either how good Ibeabuchi was or how overrated Vitali is. Unless Ibeabuchi was an absolute beast, then it's not exactly a great win for Wlad either.

 

With that way of thinking Wladimir smashed Rahman who KO'd Lewis is two. Also, Wladimir smashed Mercer who lost a SD to Lewis and Lewis never had an injury like Vitali.

 

This is the man who survived 12 rounds with the Hayemaker. I think that makes him number 1 ATG

 

Let's put this into real perspective. Lennox Lewis and Wladimir fought a few of the same opponents.

It's certainly a valid point that "styles make fights". However, Byrd faced three fighters with different styles and Ibeabuchi was the most successful, despite having the least advantage stylistically. Byrd should have had a much easier time with Ibeabuchi than he did with Wlad or Vitali and yet Ibeabuchi scored the best win, whilst Wlad did well and Vitali lost.

If styles do make fights, then it should add weight to the idea that Ibeabuchi was better than either Klitschko, unless you think Ibeabuchi was the one with the styles advantage, which he clearly wasn't.
