There are only two guys out there being seriously considered to face Manny Pacquiao in his much-awaited return in May 2012: Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Pacquiao’s Canadian adviser Mike Koncz said from Los Angeles that while he hasn’t discussed anything with his boss a week after the Filipino’s 12-round majority decision win over Marquez in Las Vegas, it is safe to say that Marquez and Mayweather are the only viable fights out there.
“Honestly, there’s been no discussions with Manny about boxing and we don’t plan to discuss the opponent (in 2012) until after the holidays,” said Koncz.
Pacquiao is arriving in Manila early Monday morning. Koncz said that Pacquiao has been spending the past few days with wife Jinkee.
“They’re having some quality time together,” added Koncz.
Top Rank head Bob Arum is pushing for a fourth fight between Pacquiao and Marquez in an effort to determine a definitive answer to the raging debate of who is superior between the two rivals.
But there are people inside Team Pacquiao that are lobbying for a Mayweather fight, which will even be more lucrative that a Marquez showdown.
Voicing out their opinions are trainer Freddie Roach and Cebu boxing man Wakee Salud, who are pushing for a Mayweather clash.

Manny should just buyout his contract and leave Arum like Floyd did. Enough is enough.

Pacquiao saying one thing, Kunts/Arum saying another.

He needs to get his house in order. I wonder how many fight he has left with Arum?

Thanks for pointing that out. Just read the article, and the latest that these statements were made by Kuntz, was Sunday.

    Manny's press conference was today.

Fighthype is bull****. Completely biased and pro-Floyd. I'd take anything off of their with a grain of salt.

If fighthype was biased towards Pacquiao then you would be saying "Fighthype is the best site in which they speak the truth."
