Why would you care, PAC never claimed that he's the PPV king. You should worry about Floyd because he's the one who claim to be the PPV king.

I care because Pacquiao is one of THE most important fighters in boxing, plus JMM is one of my favourite boxers of this era. The number they do says how well boxing is doing in terms of popularity and I am hoping it has done well.

    So whats the figure?

Bob Arum says 10 million. Couldn't possibly see why he would lie.

California - Presumptive reports that recently surfaced regarding the pay-per-view numbers generated from Pacquiao vs. Marquez trilogy are confirmed as baseless.

"We do not have the Pay-per-view figures yet from the Pacquiao-Marquez trilogy, " said Tony Walker, Director of HBO Pay-per-View in the Western Region. "We are still counting, but we should have the figures by the end of this week."

"The '1.5 million pay-per-view buys from the Pacquiao-Marquez III' which was reported by some websites is not true," Walker told this writer in an exclusive telephone interview at 12 noon Pacific Time today.

"We do not even have the approximate figures," he added.

The Pacquiao-Marquez III is expected to surpass the Pay-per-View number that Mayweather-Ortiz fight had last September 17, totaling to more than 1.25 million, which tied to third place as the highest grossing non-heavyweight fight in history. An all-time pay-per-view record 2.45 million buys is the Mayweather fight against Oscar de la Hoya in 2007. The Mayweather-Mosley in 2010 generated 1.4 million, which is tied with De La Hoya's 1999 fight with Felix Trinidad. And the Mayweather-Juan Manuel Marquez in 2009 had 1.1 million.

Stay Tuned for the real numbers by the end of the week, no later then monday.
