Is Ortiz, post-Mayweather fight, going to be able to 'get up' for this fight? The first fight he pulled out a performance none of us were expecting and went to war with Berto.

And was that the best Berto we saw earlier this year? Or can he show us something else?

I have a feeling Berto takes it. Think we saw the best of Ortiz and a 75% Berto.

 

If its half as good as their 1st fight it will be excellent.

Both guys have something to prove, it should be an evenly matched & competitive fight.

 

I'm gonna go along with this. I think it will be closer and that Berto will dig in more when he needs to.

I also agree that I think Berto wins it this time.

 

Ortiz hurt Berto in round 1 and i believe Berto never fully recovered even when he was about to stop Ortiz. Ortiz shocked him bigtime that night. He bullied the bully!

 

Khan for the winner i say, unless he gets Mayweather in May.

 

maybe it wasnt 75% Berto. I think that was just a special night from Ortiz and only a trully special fighter could have beaten him that night. Berto is quality but not special.

 

I wonder who in the UK will pick this up - Sky or Boxnation? Primetime is out of the equation as they only show PPV fights. And I understand it’s going to be on Showtime over there. Very strange to see HBO not get their hands on this, because it’s guaranteed to be another great fight. I see Berto taking it this time, if he doesn’t fold under Ortiz’s aggression again.

Should be another good scrap. I think Ortiz takes it again.

 

Ortiz is a mess mentally. But let's not forget how poor Berto looked against Zaveck. And all the flaws he has.

Berto is hopeless on the inside. He has absolutely no confidence there and loses all bearings. He also works in constant sprints. By that i mean everything is explosive and he burns up alot of energy. He has a predictable punching pattern of short bursts.

He has that Devon Alexander syndrome. He grunts tipping off shots and he also wings punches.

We have a technical mess against a mental mess. I wouldn't be confident in picking either guy.

 

That's very true actually I thought Berto was pretty fortunate to come through against Zaveck.

I tend to agree with Rob, think Ortiz won't be able to match the performance he had in the first fight so Berto has a real chance.

 

Come on! Lots of decent welters would have taken Ortiz out that night. Berto’s just ****.
