Canelo should win by stoppage, but something tells me Cintron will fight to survive, and Saul won't press the issue in such a way as to end the fight inside the distance.

Broner should almost certainly win, probably inside the distance. I just don't see any way that ESB's favorite "G" is gonna allow himself to lose in front of his hometown during a fight that will allow him to claim his first alphabet world title. There's nothing about Rodriguez's record, or the fight that IB included, to indicate that he's a diamond in the rough like Galindez or to a lesser extant Baldomir. But even if he is, it's gonna be awfully difficult for him to contend with a way more talented and hyper motivated opponent.

    So...here's something.

BoxNation WILL indeed be carrying undercard bouts that HBO is not bothering with (from both sites) - but Ishida still isn't getting any TV time. :patsch :rofl

From Mexico City, in addition to the main event they'll be showing Daniel Estrada vs. Francisco Cordero for some middling WBC lightweight bauble. NOT Ishida vs. Cruz, though. :!:

From Cincinnati, in addition to the WBO super featherweight title bout that is HBO's co-main event they'll be showing Gary Russell Jr. vs. Heriberto Ruiz (who now seems to be settled in as the opponent).

I believe this is the last card to air before BoxNation ceases to be a free service and becomes a paid channel on November 30th? :think Is that correct?

BN coverage starts @ 9pm EST/2am UK (90 minutes ahead of HBO at 10:30pm EST)

I'm not sure. HBO hasn't added Russell-Ruiz to its preview page for BAD yet. :think

only possible highlights of Russell's fight, in fact, I'd be surprised if they didn't show highlights.

I give credit to HBO/GBP for saving this card. It was originally going to be Broner vs Burns as headliner with Russell opening. Then Ricky moved up and they just couldn't find an opponent at 130 that could be headline worthy against Adrien. GBP originally was going to have Alvarez headline a card on 12/17, but had to move it up so this card had a true main event. And Cintron is a step up, no matter what.

Haters will argue that Cintron will be the fifth of six straight opponents to be a past-prime & blown-up welterweight with little power.

...and they won't be that far off base.

Cintron really isn't an effective junior middle and never has been. What's he done at the weight besides outbox Angulo? (which is hardly the toughest thing in the world to do?) Lost clearly to Martinez but got a draw. Quit against Williams (regardless of where you stand on the jumping issue; he definitely stayed out of the ring long enough to ride it out and ensure he didn't have to compete anymore). Lost clearly to Molina. IMO lost clearly as well to Smith. Hasn't knocked anybody out cold. (Ramos quit on his stool).

As for Broner vs. Rodriguez, frankly it's an embarrassment even as a co-main event. It doesn't warrant a split-site feed in the least. What family connections does Adrien have that HBO should bend over backwards to make sure he gets his televised hometown showcase date no matter what? :huh

Now, Broner vs. Russell - THAT would have been interesting. Speed & size versus even more speed. Of course it's way too early for their handlers to risk either ones' zero at this point.
