Team Pacquiao are trying to go around Bob Arum-Schaefer

Now its arums turn to stall negotiations. He never wanted it but there is a limit to what he can do. Lets not pretend that the fighters havent ducked. Floyd has hadca number of excuses and pac has hodden behind his promoter

 

Regarding the asect about floyd suddenly wanting the fight after seeing pac struggle with JMM... It certainly suites arums agenda and anybody else who questions floyds want for this fight. If this was the case and floyd was waiting to see how pac performed then why would ellerbe announce they wanted pac on the 5th of may the week before the JMM fight. Pac may well of knocked JMM out in the first round...

 

I am just going off what ellerbe was quoted as saying the week before.. Which I suppose could be the same kind of spewed **** as Floyd apparently saying it was untrue to some wall street guy.

Talk about putting all their cards on the table. They may not like Bob Arum but the guy has been doing this for longer than most have been alive.

Pretending to put on the Marquez fight puts the cards on Pac's table, it means they have MUCH more bargaining power against Mayweather. Now they just look desparate approaching Mayweather directly.

They don't need Mayweather, Marquez would be bigger than any fight Floyd can be in at the moment.

Also I understand Arum's thinking, once Pac–Floyd happens the 'torch' is gone. At the moment it's with Pac. But once Mayweather beats Pac all the power and momentum transfers to Mayweather and Goldenboy.

What Pacquaio has achieved is monumental, he's fought all the fighters Floyd hasn't - the top fighters in the WW division, Margharito, Cotto and Clottey.

When Floyd beats Pac he will essentially be stealing Pac's wins - he will be thought of as the best of all time even though we don't know what would have happened if he'd fought Pac's opponents. He didn't fight the big big, pressure fighters who wear their opponents down and have indestructable chins like Margharito.

Another way to put it is it's like the bully who lets the kid collect all the sweets and do all the hard work while he sits around waiting and then rips them all out of his hands at the end.

 

Where , When ??? :huh , nobody released anything other than " Floyd has a May 5th date " and that was about all anybody was saying , and even that didnt come from the Mayweather's

It doesnt matter who needs who , or what moneys involved , or who has leverage , or any other BS , the sport needs Mayweather vs Pacquiao :deal , because these 2 guys happen to be the best 2 fighters weve seen in what a decade or so ?? , and they should of already fought at least once , the fact that weve been subjected to one sided fights with so called big names in the sport is a black stain on boxing , its become about politics and money , legacy's and legend's have made way for padded records and money , its a ****in disgrace

 

And yet the Floyd-Pac fight is colossally bigger than that. To duck now would be to face the sting from the public and media, just like Floyd got last year by ESPN.

Please tell us why Bob Arum would give a dayum about Manny Pacquiao's non-Top-Rank-controlled post fight political career. Especially considering he has already shown nothing but addressing his own self interest in Pac's (and others) currently Top-Rank controlled boxing career.
