Floyd seems to be far more interested now.

Pacquaio has looked formidable and virtually unstoppable in the last few years and Floyd has kept his distance with drug testing, taking steps back from the sport and just generally not having the urge to fight. Even though after all Pacmans fights Floyd is there pointing out his flaws and claiming hed beat him.

Now all of a sudden Marquez makes Manny look less formidable, unstoppable and outright beatable and Floyd seems to be all of a sudden be very interested in actually making this fight happen.

I never believed any of the PED **** and have always believed he was just using that to either have Pacman feeling rough before the fight or as a stick to keep the 2 apart while also using it to claim it was actually Pacman who DIDNT want the fight.

But hes seen that last fight just like the rest of us and now he seems alot more interested.

I dont want to come out and say Manny was holding back againt Marquez just ive always believed Marquez style just causes Manny problems but that fight, apart from being a very good one and as contrerversial as the others were but i think that performance will turn out to be the key to giving us all the fight we all want more than any others.

But it does grind my gears to think that Mayweather, the great unbeaten superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr wont fully commit to an opponant unless some sort of weakness, frailty, forced weight gain or pastness of prime becomes visible.

    Wanker.

He has, many times but calling somebody out on telly and actually seriously sitting down and talking it over are 2 very different things. He was calling him out before he took steps back from the sport, he was calling him out before changing his tune on exactly what type of drug testing he has demanded. Its been a circus of bull****. Its all for the hype and maintainance of his facade.

My point is he has become alot more interested since the Marquez fight, had Manny smashed him up like some of his other recent opponants then Floyd would of been a lot quieter than he has been.

If the common factor at all points of the Pac Mayweather saga is that Mayweather is calling Pac out, how can you objectively say that he is more interested in fighting Pac now than he was in the past? If your measure of Mayweather's interest in Pac is being in negotiations with Pac, then the time Mayweather showed the most interest was 2009-2010, when Mayweather was in actual negotiations with Bob Arum.

So, on what basis are you claiming that Mayweather is more interested in fighting Pac now, given there are no negotiations going on?

    Floyds interest hasnt changed.........
As he said before if pac takes the test the fight is on.......
Your making it seem as if he wanted the tests then marquez made pac look **** and he doesnt wnt them anymore but thats not the case.

We all know Floyd is probably the most talented fighter of our generation, but lets face it, he's a *****. If he had any balls the Pacquiao Mayweather fight would have happened at the peak of all the hype after the Cotto fight instead of hiding behind all this PED bull****. As was posted above, he will probably have more interest in it now because of Manny not looking so hot in his last 2 fights and the fact that he wants no part of Martinez.

In my opinion it is Pac and Pac's inner circle who seem more interested in fighting Mayweather at this point.

In the past Pac has said:

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XfgFopbiRg[/ame]

Now, however, Pac says "let's get it on" to Mayweather after the Marquez fight, holds a press conference in the Philapines stating he is ready to negotiate with Mayweather, sends Konz to negotiate with Arum to start negotiations with Mayweather, and Ariza comes out blasting Arum and stating it is his (ariza's) belief that Mayweather definately wants the fight. Ariza also states that Arum hates Mayweather and refuses to negotiate with him.

My question to the thread starter is , why do you think Pac is showing more interest in a Mayweather fight now more than he ever has in the past?

I think Pacman feels his time may be running out, i think he is under no illusions just how good a boxer Floyd is and is a bit more desperate to get this fight signed and sealed. Also im betting Bob Arums way of doing **** must be very frustrating to Manny cuz Bobs not about amazing fights hes all about the money.

But i dont think he actually wants this fight any more than he has before hes just a little more desperate to get it now. Floyd on the other hand seems more interested now Manny seems mortal.

By avoiding his biggest challenges, he has not proved that he is the best of

He is smart in choosing his opponents.
This is the typical way he chooses them.

This whole thing about FMJ picking on a less impressive version of Pac is completely bull****. First of all, Pac has been the same fighter in his last two fights. He just dealt with fighters who actually used some intelligence in the ring. Secondly, you people have been claiming Floyd has lost several steps ever since you saw him against Mosley. His chin is suspect. His legs are gone. He's slower. He's rusty. That being said, by your own admission Floyd and Pac would be on an even playing field if they fought today. But now you're saying FMJ has an advantage? Ridiculous.

You owe Marquez an apology. The man trained like a madman, arguably beat the best fighter on the planet and you still undermine Marquez's performance by insinuating Pac wasn't the same fighter when they last fought. Pac fought well that night. But Marquez was superb. Don't take anything away from him.

One thing you really need to understand is it's not so much Marquez's style that gave Pac problems. The key is Marquez's SKILLS. Morales and Marquez have/had great boxing skills therefore they were able solve the Pac puzzle.

Floyd have always showed more of a interest in fighting Pac then Pac have shown in fighting him. Pac walked out on him because of a drug test. Floyd have called him out several times over the years, and Pac response was Bob Arum. Still to this day Manny have not agreed to the full terms of taking a random blood test. Floyd interest now is more so then before because Pac back is against wall this time. There's people on his team that's bringing the truth to the light, and it's making team Pac look real bad. After the out come from the Marquez fight. The only way for Pac to redeem himself is by beating the main man, which is Mayweather. Keep in mind no one knew how Marquez and Pac was going to play out, and Floyd made his announcement before that fight.
