Alien is an idiot troll. He's freaking annoying with this vitali hate in which i bet alien would never say that to vitali's face. The situation with vitali vs bryd thing is getting so freaking old. That fight was 11 years ago in which vitali is a better fighter now and even in 03-04 then he was when he fought bryd.

I think Haye is a good answer too. Although Mock had him down and hurt off a temple shot, the first guy who had a good Chin and didn't fold outlasted him and stopped him in the 5th. So yes, Haye is a good answer for this.:good

Byrd was hitting him back but he was also losing most of the rounds. Vitali was waaayy ahead on points when he quit. It had nothing to do with Byrd but everything to do with his fucked up shoulder.

The first time roy faced adversity was in the first Griffin fight and he didn't fold, he was on his way to stopping Griffin when he was DQ'd.

And just keep hating on Vitali for something that happened about 11 years ago.
Since then, Vitali has proven that he has plenty of heart and will..
Also, would you keep fighting with a torn rotator cuff? :think

    No it is not.

If you are talking about fighters being soundly beaten by the better fighter then yes... but if you are talking about fighters that are on the same level as their opponent & fold mentally then no, Lacy is not the right answer.

I was over the moon when Calzaghe pasted Lacy as I was sick of Joe being underrated by the USAbians BUT the ****in sheer heart Jeff Lacy showed in that fight to not quit while being beaten like that deserves a medal.

I don't buy he was unable to fight. Explain how he was throwing punches with both hands right up until he quit? He most have thrown 50 punches in the round before he quit but was landing at a pathetic rate, where as Byrd was walking him down and landing at a very high rate.

He simply got frustrated. Think about the playground bully mentality. He had been used to guys rolling over like bowling pins for his entire career.

He knocked most guys out inside 2 rounds. Then a guy comes along, slips most of his punches, figures him out and then starts walking him down and bashing him up? And this is where that "career threatening injury" happens to occur and he has to quit? If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you.

Haye was still waving Thompson in while he was being stopped. Hardly someone who was looking to quit.

He has many flaws, but his guts in that fight isn't one of them.

How can it be that Vitali then later was willing to walk through everything Lewis and Sanders threw at him, if he is a "glass hearted coward" ? :think.
And stop acting like Byrd was putting a beat down on Vitali
