How does Floyd beat Pacquiao fighting this way?

I'm actually going to compile a video comparing Pacquiao's fight with Marquez to Floyd's with Judah and Ortiz, for recent and stylistic comparison. If only I could get my hands on a good quality video of Mayweather VS Ortiz I'd make it sooner. The Judah fight reveals a lot of little things. Floyd put on a great display in the second half of the fight, but the first half isn't his best work; took him a while to adjust there against a considerably inferior opponent.

 

Simple question, who has Pacquiao beat that was close to Mayweather style?

 

Floyd fights diffrent vs every fighter. What makes you think he would fight the same way against Pacquiao like he did Zab. :hi::hi:

 

The closest would probably be the way he fought Hatton,

throws a punch, backpedal, throw a punch backpedal, clinch, repeat

 

Zab said THAT Floyd has the fastest feet he has ever been in the ring with. Mosley said Floyd has the fastest feet along with the best footwork he has ever been in the ring with. You should watch the Zab fight more closely.

Floyd would beat Manny by coming forward and countering. That is how Floyd beats southpaws. He comes forward and gives fighters a little opening. When the fighter thinks they can land, the opening closes and they get countered. When they start to get countered enough they go backwards. Most fighters can't fight going backward (Manny included). Also Manny needs distance to get off his punches. Floyd can keep Manny at bay by coming forward or staying out of range.

 

That's the bigger question. We know counter punchers give Pac trouble. Boxers who have the ring iq and footwork to control the distance against Pac and outclass him. Mayweather can do this and more and is bigger with a much longer reach than Pac's previous opponents that beat him or gave him problems.

Now Mayweather may not have faced someone who fights exactly like Pac but he has shown the ability to adapt to every style he has faced and found a way to win. The same can't be said for Pac. It's beggars belief (or should I say *******s belief ) to think that Pac is worse style for Mayweather than vice versa.
