One of the best i've ever seen, to go with one of best hearts in the game!. The man never ever gave up a true warrior.
That was when Joe could throw bombs as well and never had any had problems. I could watch Eubank all day.
Chin, Heart, Determination, thats the 3 words I identify with Eubank and I think im being a bit unfair on him TBH, because he could also box very well, that sometimes gets overlooked.
true, but laziness is also something I would acuse him of though. How many fights did he lose (or should of) which he could have won, had just stayed slighty more active.
That is a very good point, Im not sure Laziness is the right word though?, I know where your coming from and especially in his latter career he did tend to take his foot of the pedal? There's so many things to consider.
Those very Calzaghe shots in those days were taking guys clean off their feet and 10 feet across the ring. Eubank just soaked 'em. Sick.
Eubank is underrated in the technical department. Awesome snap in his punches with very little back lift and virtually no wasted motion. He wasn't lazy, he was just too cerebral for his own good. He out thought himself.
Every punch counted, he never wasted energy unless he was really under fire, even then the counter punch he threw or the punches to back the opponent up had thought behind them, He was an intelligent fighter. his wins prove that.:good
I will add that I agree with you on the over thinking at times, It cost him fights , In your opinion Slip? did the Watson incident have part to play later in Eubanks career and if so, to what extent?.
