A lot of people into Pac I dont think were even watching boxing 5+ years ago. They forget that floyd asked for a hatton fight for years and hatton's trainer and promoter openly said they were not ready for floyd even though Hatton was the linear 140 champ and floyd came up from the smaller weight classes. Cotto was not in the picture when floyd was at 140. The $10 mil offer for a margo fight came as floyd was splitting from Arum and floyd would have had to stay with Arum if he wanted that fight. Floyd left arum and got the DLH fight and then the hatton fight and made way more doing it that way. Nobody can name one fighter not under Arum that floyd supposedly ducked. The only fight that people were begging to see not named Pacquiao was cotto post mosley win.

The fight would be at 154, where Floyd fought Oscar.

And Floyd would drop a round on the way to a 119-109 decision.

    No, no, no. Just no.

If you follow the board, you know I'm not a Floyd fan.

And I am a bit of an Alverez fan, warming to him at least.

But at 154 (fight night: Floyd 151/152, Canelo 162/165), Floyd has an easy time here with present Canelo. Just too much difference in skill level.

why would Floyd want to win a belt @ a catchweight?

what about Baldomir? he beat Judah, the undisputed champ at Welter and successfully defended vs Arturo Gatti.

Yes he would have a significant skill advantage, but that's the case with essentially anyone, but Physically Canelo would be a load...and personally I don't know that Floyd would want that hassle. As I said Canelo is a tough out for anyone.
