Alvarez hasn't fought a real live body yet. It's much too soon for him to fight Floyd.

An older, lighter Mayweather, schools Alvarez to a 12 round UD.
Floyd can do things that Alvarez can't imagine right now.

If Alvarez could stay at 154 for another 5 years, then a fight with Amir Khan would be huge.

 

Floyd is way too much for him at this point

 

Mayweather TKO round 8 or 9. Easiest fight of his career.

 

I would pick Alvarez against almost all the top Welterweights who would choose to take him on at 154. He is better than most people rate him. Mayweather should be able to handle him and pile up points but its not a crazy idea they would fight.

 

Wow. No one picked Alvarez yet. I bet once Floyd announce Canelo is his May 5th opponent, watch he become this "threat with a chance"

Agreed. 38-0 and a "champ" yet he's not ready. When the hell will he be ready once he's 50-2 or 45-0? Some people talk about him like he's 10-0.

 

I doubt GBP ruins this gravy train by putting him in there with PBF.

 

Money, because Canelo has a Glass Jaw and porous defense. He's not fast enough to fight outside, he lacks the Chin to get inside, and he lacks the in-fighting chops to do any significant work if he did manage to get in Floyd's chest. It would be a massacre and a masterpiece of shattered glass if it happened.
