Aydin-Dan, something I don't get about the scorecards

I scored the twelfth 9-9.

Despite Dan's bravery down the stretch, for me it t would have been Aydin 10-9 - but he lost a point.

So, 9-9.

That was the story of the whole rematch to be honest. "Despite Dan's bravery..." I just couldn't con myself into giving him rounds for repeatedly slapping Aydin's gloves and then getting badly hurt by the couple of shots that Aydin threw in most rounds.

 

Point deductions are not reflected on the round scores, but noted seperately on an official scoresheet.

if a point is docked and the other guy won the round instead of a 10-8 for the deduction

the other guy winning the round spares the point for losing hte round making it 10-9

You don't understand how ten-point must works.

It's ten point must BEFORE point deductions for fouls.


ie, you factor in knockdowns and everything and the winning boxer must get ten points. That's the round subtotal.

Then you factor in point deductions from the subtotal.

That gives your final sum total score for the round.

You ABSOLUTELY score a round 9-9 when the round winner has a point deduction. Anything else is WRONG.

Again, you don't get how 10 point must works if you think otherwise.

No. You don't get it.

Point deductions are SEPARATE from the 10-point must scoring.

They come after.

So you decide who won the round, and then deduct a point from the score of whoever committed the foul.

THAT IS HOW IT WORKS.

Fighter A vs. Fighter B, round 1

Fighter A commits a foul and the referee instructs a point should be taken.


You set that aside for a moment, and without thinking about the foul or taking it into consideration, you decide just like any other round who won it.

Let's say you felt Fighter A won the round.

So, 10-9 for Fighter A.

10 points for A, 9 points for B.

NOW SUBTRACT THE FOUL POINT.

9 points for A, 9 points for B.

9-9.



Let's say you thought Fighter B won the round.

So, 10-9 for Fighter B.

9 points for A, 10 points for B.

NOW SUBTRACT THE FOUL POINT.

8 points for A, 10 points for B.

10-8



Pretty cut and dry.

 

Heres my round by Round ( Not on here ).

Aydin slips he and dan fall. No KD. Aydin keeps slipping. Why? Aydin catches Dan with a hook when he comes in, Again now. Aydin looses a point for hitting on a break ( He has a bunch of times good call ). Dan working his jab. Keeping Aydin at bay. Aydin lands a couple good rights. They end it big. Nice combos by Dan, Aydin lands big rights. Anyways 113-112 Dan. Very tough.

Good jabs by Dan too start. Landing nice combos. He stuns Aydin! He survives. Gets himself back together despite getting flurried. Calmed down. Whoa! Huge right. Dan is down. He is ok when he gets up. He is getting pounded though. Oh! Rocked again. He barley makes it to the end. 103-104 Aydin.

Dan doing the same thing as before. Nice combos. Aydin landing the counter rights. It is the same thing... Kind of boring after a while. Dan is landing combos but they aren't doing a thing, But Aydin is just on defense all the time. All he does is counter with the right. 95-94 Dan

Aydin comes out with a hook. Misses. Now Dan is flurrying him. Big rights by Aydin stuns Dan. Another!. Aydin landing nice counter rights. More combos by Dan. Aydin rocks him! He clinches. Gets split Aydin pressures til the bell. Aydin stunned him well with his right quite a bit this round. 85-85

Same each round. Aydin picking him off, Nice counter rights although Dan is working harder. Dan flurries Aydin.But he doesn't get hurt. Dan jabbing and outworking Aydin. Another flurry by Dan. Aydin lands some Big hooks! They hurt Dan. Dan continuing to outwork him. Landing great combos but it is Aydin is landing the better shots. Hard to score... 76-75 Dan

Dan has heart. More combos. Outworking Aydin. Big hook again by Aydin. But Aydin is widely getting outworked. Good combos by Dan, Good counter right by Aydin, Aydin stuns him late! Pounding 3-4 hooks!! Dan is hurt but he survives till the end. Hard to call. Aydin had a big ending but barley anything all round. 66-66

Dan working his jab, Lands a combo that sets Aydin off balance. He is ok. But Aydin is still landing nice combos still adding pressure. Now they exchange. Dan landing jabs followed by hooks and Aydin is landing his powerful rights. Two hard right hooks jurk Dans head back. Now dan is back to work, Landing jab, jab, Hook type of combos and getting away from Aydin after. So 57-56 Aydin

As before Dan is working the jab, Now gets to the inside with some nice hooks. Dan is pressuring Aydin. Good combos by Dan. Whoa! Good hook by Aydin and Dan is cut. Nice cross comes along too. Dan is still working them combos though. Dan throws some combos, Aydin goes Down, Ref calls it a slip but it looks like a KD since Dan landed combos. IDk. Anyways. 48-46 Aydin. Just landing the better shots.

Dan puts on the pressure. Jabs Aydin to the ropes. Aydin lands a big right hook but it was on a break so Aydin gets warned. Nice combo by Dan, Ducking counters. Aydin hits on the break again, Warned. Dan landing some nice combos on the inside while Aydin is trying to land some hooks himself. Good hooks by Aydin to end the round. 38-37 Aydin.

Dan comes back out, Landing nice combos, Good counter right by Aydin, Hurts Dan! Now Dan back to work with the jab. Nice combos by Dan but these counter rights by the stronger Aydin are hurting him. Aydin lands a good combo on the inside. Another good combo by Dan to end it. Arguable but now 28-28

Dan working his jab. Now coming forward with combos, He wants to fight but he is getting clipped with hooks when he comes in often, He better be careful. Dan working some jabs, Follows up with a hook. Dan still landing nice combos, Backing up Aydin, But every time he gets clipped with a hook he gets pounced on. Whoa! What a slugfest. They exchange combos in the last few seconds! 19-18 Aydin but tough, It is quality ( Aydin ) verses quantity ( Dan ).

Dan moving fast. Working a quick jab. Nice combos by dan, Making Aydin stay defensive. Big hooks by Aydin! Stuns Dan but he stands up and fights, Gets him self together, Works his jab. Whoa! He gets clipped with more hooks! HE IS DOWN! He survives. They are exchanging to the end. Aydin lands big hooks! What a turn around. 10-8 Selcuk Aydin!

Not really good. I ain't IB, But What I am worried about are my round scores. I thought Dan won by small margins.

DAN was way more active, Aydin got those big hooks out but he was widely outworked.

Turkye is worst than Germany if their guy loses you wont leave the venue alive.
In both fights objects were thrown to the ring and people almost burst into the ring.
Those filthy and uneducated muslims dont deserve a sport as beautiful as boxing.

1st ten seconds: Aydin blocks shot, falls down.

Next ten seconds: Dan misses shots, falls down.

Forty seconds into round: Aydin falls down again.

A minute in, jab to the body, clinch by Dan.

One minute in - weird inexplicable wobble for no discernible reason by Dan. :blood

Both miss some jabs and collide together headfirst in a clinch.

Dan throws a lead left, blocked.

Clinch.

The wop splits 'em up, and they keep clinching.

Point taken from Aydin for butts.

Halfway through the round and NOTHING has happened. Nobody has landed a meaningful punch either way.

Dan backs up, jabbing and flurrying while Aydin comes forward and blocks until they tie up again.

A minute left now.

Aydin pushes into Dan a weak right hand, shoving him with it - not even a real punch.

Clinch, headlocks.

Thirty seconds left.

Glancing right hand by Aydin before they clinch again.

Right hook to the body by Dan.

Some blocked/ducked shots by Dan.

Twenty seconds left in the round - nobody has done ANYTHING worthwhile.

17 seconds left: Aydin lands a pair of glancing power shots that realy affect Dan.

Final ten seconds: both miss a LOT, literally neither man lands a thing.



Aydin landed that one pair of hurtful shots, even if only partially connected.

Dan tapped him with a couple of light jabs to the body and otherwise flurried into his gloves, outside of the two minutes and thirty seconds that the two spent missing/getting blocked/falling down.



Aydin round, dude.

 

:nut Please illustrate (with timestamps, as I did) all the times you saw JJD landing all these clean punches to make it "ridiculous" to not score the round for him.

You will not be able to, because there really weren't any. Neither man landed clean in the 12th. It was sloppy as hell.

So instead of quantity, look at quality of the couple of glancing shots both got in (that is, in between clinching and falling down).

Dan gently caressed Aydin with a right jab to the belly or two. Pretty much all his head shots and flurries got blocked or missed outright.

Aydin didn't land jack **** through two and a half minutes, and barely let his hands go at all.

HOWEVER.

He hurt Dan with a pair of glancing shots in the last 15-20 seconds.

Dan never hurt him, or touched him with so much as anything more than a light right jab to the body (and there were only like two or three of those).

On quality, it has to go to Aydin (although it isn't much quality at all - it's still more than Dan's)
